*Sobs*
WHY DON'T I HAVE MONEY??? I WANT A 12 INCH TENNANT!!!
*Falls to floor*
This is Big Chief Studios' sixth-scale Tenth Doctor, whom you can attempt to preorder today for around $300 (h/t rabidronnie). He comes loaded with accessories, and his base lights up with the Gallifreyan symbol for "ten."

This is Hasbro's new 12" Iron Man. They are making it very clear that they don't believe collectors with any discernment will be interested. It has five points of articulation.

And what hideous rip-off price are they charging for this?
Oh.
$12.99? Really? Like, less than a 6" Marvel figure?
Eh, still a rip-off. Unless you're still buying toys solely to hit your brother in the face with (you should stop that). Then it's total bang for the buck.
More links from around the web!
$12.99 is a pretty good price for that toy, especially if you're buying it for a toddler. Would you give a kid one of those $200 Hot Toys figures to play with, or even touch? I barely trust an adult with one.
I'm sure that there will be, and that there have been, better Hasbro Iron Man toys. That said, they are starting to chintz out on the articulation on some of their toys, like drivers for the GI Joe vehicles. I understand they need to save money, but that's just annoying.

if even hasbro does not think iron man collectors will be interested in that figure and only gave it limited articulation they proably figure that collectors and iron man fans proably have him already . or just doing him to try and cash in on the movie. have to admit i am tempted to try and buy that tenth doctor figure but the 300 bucks would go better towards some hot toy versions.
okay - so there is a Gallifreyan to English translation capacity - so what does it say above the center console in the new TARDIS? It says "Fish Fingers And Custard"

that said why does the Iron Man suit in the picture have a gold chest but the toy is just red?
@rabidronnie @Gallen_Dugall Try setting your sonic screwdriver to amorphous crystal - that worked for me
@rabidronnie @Gallen_Dugall @TheConjurerOfCheapTricks all the cool people got java errors
@rabidronnie Awesome to hear it's working for you now! One tip, though: when using it, you can't use the letter C (for whatever reason), so you'll have to substitute it with an s or a k. And you also can't translate more than one sentence at a time.
@TheConjurerOfCheapTricks @rabidronnie @Gallen_Dugall was just checking. Don't think the shiny new windows 8 laptop HAS java. Correcting and then trying again.
EDIT--now working! Gallen, check for java o.o
@rabidronnie @Gallen_Dugall @TheConjurerOfCheapTricks Have you updated java recently?
@Gallen_Dugall @TheConjurerOfCheapTricks @rabidronnie I got a java error too!
@Gallen_Dugall @TheConjurerOfCheapTricks @rabidronnie I didn't get any kind of error message- and I haven't updated Java in some time... I don't know if it has anything to do with it.
@TheConjurerOfCheapTricks @rabidronnie @Gallen_Dugall I tried the windows version and I get a java error
@TheConjurerOfCheapTricks @rabidronnie @Gallen_Dugall Love this program and it is the better ones out there.
@rabidronnie @Gallen_Dugall I got it working on my computer. On the deviantart page for the translator there's four different downloads- Universal Java, Linux, Mac, and Windows. I downloaded the .zip file for Windows, extracted the files and it seems to be running smoothly... http://i.imgur.com/M31POlx.png
Which file download did you choose?
@rabidronnie @Gallen_Dugall amorphous means non-crystalline. It was my way of saying I couldn't get it to work either
@Gallen_Dugall @rabidronnie In all seriousness, if anybody has figured it out and knows what might be going wrong, lmk.
I just realized something. Doctor Who is a documentary. Clearly it can't be fiction because British fiction (to put it politely) isn't that good, but they are extremely good at documentaries. My conclusion is that they've pulled the old switcharoo here. In order to create the impression of quality fiction they started making documentaries about extremely unlikely people such as The Doctor and Sherlock. Fiendishly cunning, but I am on to you BBC!
@Canadian.Scott @rabidronnie ^_^ Thanks! Not much of a toy gal either, but I ran across this and knew SOMEONE would want to know about it.
I feel all special now! Time to dance!
