the Evas don't transform, so it is not funny to say they do, it just sounds IGNORANT from whoever said that...
You know the old cliche about how little kids sometimes like the cardboard box better than the toy that comes in it?
If I could do this with the cardboard, I would too.

This Evangelion figure is fully articulated and transforms into vehicle mode. Be sure to check out all the pics.
Yes, the obvious joke is that this person did a better transforming robot in cardboard than Michael Bay did with millions of dollars worth of CG. However, I think it's fair to say that this is also better than most Hasbro Transformers out now. I guess the plus side of plastic toys is the cat can't eat them in three seconds flat.

Nobody's said it already? Well, okay then:
Yeah, but Michael Bay made ALL the characters in his Transformer movies out of cardboard.
Eh; it only looks more complex than Hasbro figures because of all the cardboard masking what goes where.
Doesn't look like it's a very complex transformation to me.
@GeneralTekno My guess:
Rotate the shoulder wheels 180 degrees. Straighten the legs and fold them against the back. Raise arms, bend 90 degrees at elbows to wrap at the head.
Alternatively, it could be a rotate torso 180 degrees, fold legs against the chest. Raise and bend arms to wrap the head.
It looks impressive in cardboard, as does the articulation in general, but its nothing horribly complicated for a plastic toy.
The fact that he figured out how to make a transformation wins this guy +10 Combo points for Awesomeness.
@arivalscientist Sadly probably less then I eat in a week and I not talented enough to make a cardboard house out of mine.
