half the idiots on Facebook thought this was the TV anniversary special and kept wondering why Tennant wasnt in it (not understanding Big Finish doesnt cover the modern Doctors)? And I loved David Tennant but I have had the good decency to move on and enjoy Matt Smith, not keep wishing Tennant would come back and stay forever. I hate Tennant fangirls

Big Finish has pulled off a 5/6/7/8 story before, but this is about as big as they can reasonably do since their license doesn't extend to any of the new era Doctors.
(Mind you, $10 says that Tennant shows up anyway, since he's got a history with Big Finish, and could just reprise one of the characters he's already played for them.)

This will probably be awesome, but I'm even more excited about the series of 11 short stories being released this year, each by a different children's author, each about one of the 11 doctors. The first? Eoin Colfer, of Artemis Fowl fame, does his own treatment of the First Doctor. Rowling is rumored to be one of the authors given the honor as well. Good stuff in store this year for Whovians!

@rabidronnie I know they had a major memory leak with the last one. (among other noticeable things) Hopefully they are reworking it a bit at a time to get it right and get it back to us. (then again I hope women find me sweet and kinda-cute but that hasn't happened yet)

Now this is awesome! I can't wait to hear/read/see some of this stuff (I'm not how they'll be released format-wise). I'd love to see their takes on the Doctor. I realize not everyone will like this stuff, but I'm also one who likes cover songs just to see another artist's take on a classic.

Well now, a multi-Doctor story for the big 5-0, but NOT a televised one? Interesting, but I'm still holding out hope for a Tennant appearance when it comes time for the TV special. I know, I know - nobody liked Tennant, so who but me wants to see that. What can I say, I'm weird that way.

@TheSadZombie Hard to say that no one liked Tennant when he's the only Doctor to ever have Doctor Who be THE MOST WATCHED TV SHOW IN ENGLAND.
He was damned good in the role. So's Smith, but the poor guy's been hampered by some craptastic storytelling (Tom Baker couldn't save dreck like... well, all of Season Six, let alone any of the modern Docs) and even worse catchphrases.
@rabidronnie @step5555 @TheSadZombie There's been enough backlash against the Tennant era (largely because they think the only episodes that matter are apparently the season finales) amongst the hardcore fans that I missed the sarcasm.

Bittersweet to have such a reunion without Sarah Jane but still should be amazing, better to work it in voices than come up with ways why thos Doctors look so much older.
