I loved the days of Super Nintendo. Super Mario World, Super Metroid, Super Punchout, Battletoads in Battlemaniacs, Super Double Dragon, Battletoads and Double Dragon, and now Super Downton Abbey! Finally my collection is complete. I can't wait to use the Butler's giant fist to keep unwanted guests out.
The idea that anybody ever came to Julian Fellowes and said, "Hey, Gosford Park was great and all, but could you make it even longer and more boring, possibly spreading it out over the course of years?" still blows my mind. But, perhaps like many of you, I now get to hear about this show endlessly from my nearest and dearest.
I never thought there'd be any reason to mention that show on this site. Then this happened...

No, it isn't actually playable. But the 16-bit version of the theme is for sale.
There actually was a Gosford Park board game, sent out to members of the entertainment media at the time. I gave mine away.

That sounds rad as shit. I am totally serious. If I were a movie producer I would be finding ways to get Gosford Park 2 made.
@spankminister I should have hung on to that board game and auctioned it now. My friend Brian should be happy with the possibilities.
That's pretty great. And I freely admit a lot of my affection for Downton Abbey comes from Hugh Bonneville. And Brendan Coyle. Dressed all fancy. Together. In a bedroom.
*ahem*
Well darn, I guess I won't be watching Downtown Abbey this evening since it's not about an urban gang turf war as I was told, at least there's that McBain movie staring Michael Ironside and Christopher Walken over on Rifftax - that should have violence in it
8 Bit or 16 Bit...things are always better that way...
