When he tries to be funny it's awful. Great diorama maker, bad comedian.
He's using the older versions of several items, the AT-AT's have since had a larger, better version, as have the AT-ST's (though the older version more accurate to Empire Strikes Back in a few detail). It would be expensive to replace 5 AT-AT's, though. He also appears to be using smaller scaled snowspeeders, not the regular action figure sized ones. That effect would look better if...
He didn't have those Imperial "snowtroopers" on the ground, as it certainly doesn't help the illusion of the AT-AT and snowspeeder sizes. And a few fans refuse to believe when I mention it, but at NO point are Imperial Stormtroopers ever seen engaging the Rebel infantry on Hoth. The closest they get is a cut-off transmission "Imperial troops have entered the base...".
No idea why he has a probe droid in the battlefield, either. But it's his diorama and it is very cool.
