@LYT So you found the trash guy who use to sneak Rob in the trashcan. Wish he'd let me ride in the trashcan too (well one at a time in the can).

Comic-Con hotel reservations go online in half an hour. May the odds ever be in your favor.
More links from around the web!
I wanted to go, until I found out that they already sold out of badges over a week ago.
@finaldragoon Badges?! We don't need no stinkin' badges!
Or badgers for that matter...
I've always wanted to go, but I get very tense around large groups of people. Wizard World Phila is about as much as I can handle and even then it's pushing it.
I used to go to comic-con every year, but I haven't been able to get in for the last 4 years or so. This year I didn't even bother trying cause I was so ticked off by their non-working e-registration system the last few years.
This year, I'm probably going to be going to WonderCon from March 29-31 instead. You can still apparently get tickets at the door for that, plus their onsite all-day pass is roughly 1/3 or less what SDCC is charging.
@RandomChance I plan on both, but WonderCon being on Easter weekend is a dick move for all those (including non Catholics like my in-laws) who make that day a family tradition.
@LYT @RandomChance Oh, dang. Hadn't even caught that. Yeah, that's pretty messed up.
Crowds are my kryptonite. I realized this when I went to Coachella one year to see one of my wife's (and mine) favorite bands and the thought puttering through my mind as I stood next to a sea of people who had been sweltering in 100+ degree heat for 12 hours was just how much more I'd rather be sitting at home listening to their CD or watching the webcast.
So, Godspeed, fellow nerd travelers. I will be with you in spirit as I follow the coverage through the usual nerd news websites.
@ComradeDread1 "Crowds are my kryptonite."
I'm with you there. I don't even do well in a crowded house of family members.
Let me just say that I will go to SDCC at some point before I die but sadly, this year will not be my year. Godspeed little doodle...

As much as I'd love to finally go to Comic-Con, I'm saving up all my travel money for PAX & - assuming my job gives me even the slightest credentials to get through the door - E3. Congrats on anyone who scores tickets/reservations though, including you, Luke.
@SlyDante777 I'll be at Comic-Con for sure - I've been covering it since '99, and Rob always got in on TR credentials. It's only the nature of my accomodations that are in question.
Godspeed to all who will be able to go. I'll just sit here and check the video updates online, wishing I were that cool.
@rabidronnie On a different note Rabidronnie. Are you ready for your snowstorm.
Be careful and be safe.
@Someguy Thanks. I've already been out in it once today and, barring class cancellation, I'll be driving through it again tonight. It's mostly slush on the roads, fortunately.
Here in the midwest, we're always super duper geared up for THE CRAZY SNOWSTORM OF DEATH, and then we salt all the roads and plow like crazy and nothing happens. Especially this season. So the winter weather folks have been bored out of their skulls with the lack of snow, and now they're going all out for preparation. It'll be icky and I'll want to stay in with a cup of tea rather than be out, but I don't think there will be a lot of danger in our area.
@Someguy @rabidronnie Step 3: go to the grocery store and find the bread, eggs, and milk sections completely wiped out, because apparently these are the three foods that will get us through the apocalypse.
@rabidronnie Yes, we are starting our cycle of, "we are all going to die, here comes the winter storm" for this snowstorm now. Step 1. Gas prices increase by 20¢. Step 2. Maybe salt or something.
@rabidronnie I do that. I also put my stuff on tables and put price tags of three times the price on them and I feel like I'm there.
It's nice. I make three times as much as I usually do on my stuff but unfortunately I end up in three times the debt so it all works out.
I have 0 tickets that I am selling for $899.99 and I will make you guys a deal: Both tickets for $2000.00!! You Topboteers can't pass this deal up!
@Dudley_Dawson $899.99 for all five days would be a hell of a deal, actually. Shit, even two grand almost is.
@LYT @Dudley_Dawson I have a friend who is hoping to score some press passes. He writes for some gamer blog and his wife has been going crazy with anticipation.
For those of you trying (so you are probably not reading this now) some appropriate music.
@Someguy They need backup dancers for support!
