Shallow parody & a couple of pointless shocks, but still decently funny. Plus, "Cupcakes" reference gets a couple of bonus points.
It's like if Todd McFarlane did "Twisted My Little Pony." More of this and I could become a fan.

@SlyDante777 @ILDC @Timely-Tardis-Lego @Canadian.Scott @LYT Least you think I'm some rabid brony, I actually haven't watched an episode in ages. I probably would have only watched the very first one if the fanbase didn't happen. But everything I've heard about this one makes me want to cringe and possibly vomit.
I honestly don't know how I made it though the entire wedding two-parter. I thought even the changeing subplot (tee hee) was corny and forced.
@ILDC @SlyDante777 @Timely-Tardis-Lego @Canadian.Scott @LYT Okay, start by reading the first part of that sentence out loud & see how it sounds again.
Second, while I do agree that the show's merchandise is mostly crap & they shouldn't force it, I'm not passing any real judgements until wee see the rest of these episodes (what with this actually being a three-parter). Hell, for all we now, Twilight actually loses her alicorn powers immediately afterwards. =P
@SlyDante777 @Timely-Tardis-Lego @Canadian.Scott @LYT @ILDC The fans would have done something like make Twilight preggers, not this "little girls will buy this because they're dumb" bullshit.
@LYT @ILDC The abridged version: One of the main characters went through a major change, therefore sparking cries of They Changed It, Now It Sucks.
@Timely-Tardis-Lego @Canadian.Scott @LYT @ILDC I am honestly amazaed as to how the Brony fanbase that will constantly come up with crazy-detailed backgrounds & stories for even the smallest of background characters, create stories about countless characters being shipped together, to the point of even producing impossible offspring, not only couldn't imagine this happening out of every scenario they've visited, but claim that this is what will ruin their recious fandom.
@Timely-Tardis-Lego @Canadian.Scott @LYT @ILDC I think it's because they have different tones, and maybe TF handles it better.
@Timely-Tardis-Lego @Canadian.Scott @LYT @ILDC
I thought Transformers fandom was the mane gateway to MLP:FiM fandom as far as the brony demographic is concerned.
@Canadian.Scott @LYT @ILDC I still haven't seen it. I should make time for it on the weekend actually. Also, heard that that episode got many people whining ruined forever. I stand by what I've said that they've never last in the transformers fandom where the characters get power ups and new forms all the time. Though the TF fandom does complain about it frequently too, I suppose.
whole bunch of violence against women because that's funny, i guess
what the fuck
@adamvanmeter Seemed to me the female ponies were committing most of the violence.
It might be funnier if it wasn't for the fact there are probably erotic fan fictions out there with very similar premises, only fewer pants and more actual comedy.
If Superjail did a western and threw in ponies for no apparent reason...it wouldn't be such a waste of time.
This is what passes for comedy on Fox?
I believe link has the verdict of what this is.
@Someguy Wait, I'm confused. Are you saying it bombed, or that it was the bomb? Or are you saying it resembled a 16-bit adventure game or something? Because that's just weird, man.
@SlyDante777 @Someguy I'm saying, don't attack the chickens .... It makes as much sense as the crap above.
that's because the dinosaurs evolved into chickens and if they are attacked they could instantly evolve back and we'd all be eaten by dino-chickens... at least that's what happened in the spec script I wrote that SyFy rejected
that was delightful... didn't have anything to do with cowboys or bronies but I enjoyed it as a stand alone thing
Looks like something they'd do on 'Robot Chicken'. That's also the reason I don't watch it anymore.
Meh...I can appreciate the attempt at humour but overall.

@Canadian.Scott The history geek in me demands that I tell you that that doesn't mean what you think it means.
That is all.
@Kaobel @Canadian.Scott Yes, the Romans were a blood thirsty group so technically this would be a good thing but I was using it more for the modern vernacular.
@Timely-Tardis-Lego @Kaobel @Canadian.Scott That sounds like the start of an Eddie Izzard bit.
@Kaobel @Canadian.Scott I'm personally surprised that the gladiators could see that well. I mean, the guy does the thumb gestures from that high up, after a fight, where I'd imagine they'd be feeling a bit discombobulated.
@Canadian.Scott @Kaobel Well actually, the thumbs down meant to spare their life. A sideways thumb meant to slit their throat. Thumbs up wasn't even a thing.
