You may not be able to make a joke about Boba Tea, but how about bobotjie? Not quite the same spelling , but perfectly cromulent
Now this is a custom that takes some imagination, given that, in its unpainted form, it looks nothing like the character being represented. And seeing as how it's a cake mixer rather than a beverage maker, I can't even sneak in a joke about making boba tea.
I'll just admit that cooking now seems like a nerdy activity suddenly, unlike the domestic drudge I shall pretend I previously thought it to be.
Not sure that I'd trust the edible wares of an artist who calls himself tommy filth. But I do admire his handiwork.
More links from around the web!
this thing proves there is no limit some boba fett fan will go to of their creavity on.this thing would work well with the star wars cook book and bar set that costs 750 bucks love it. disney needs to okay a real one
So it doesn't do much and then falls into the garbage disposal. And then it becomes a legend!
This is the perfect kitchen appliance to use with the Star Wars cookbook my sister got me for Christmas a few years ago.
If you were wanting to make a joke, you could mention how all the cakes I'd be making with this would sure make Boba Fat.
Didn't say it was gonna be a good joke...
@FoldingMaps we're going to make jumbo s'mores-stuffed chocolate chip cookies with that
Anyone who doesn't consider cooking to be nerdy seriously needs to watch some Good Eats. Alton Brown: food science nerd god!
Cooking has always been nerdy! Someone has to invent chocolate covered, chicken friend bacon, and the 15 million permutations of hot sauce!
hm, it may be awkward to covert this into a sex toy but i know japan will not let me down!
@stromdriver @DrAbraxas oh yeah that really short stroke j-off machine, I forgot about that
OOOOOOOOOOOHHH! What's next? A Darth Vader customized sewing machine? A vacuum cleaner painted to look like C-3PO? A spatula painted like Leia's bikini?
@nix.nightbird they already have the spatula
Pffft. Cooking has been a nerdy activity for as long as nerds have had kitchens. I was making lembas bread in high school.
Maple-nutmeg TIE fighter cookie, anyone? *nibbles*
I never realized how Boba Fett's color scheme looked like a kitchen from the 70's.
@Someguy yup, institutional green, keeps the bounty hunter calm at all times
Cool, but I wouldn’t want to own it.
I’d be scared I’d constantly bump into it by accident and send it flying across the room where it would slam into the wall and fall into my garbage can.
A) It's a mixer, not a "cake mixer" - perfectly serviceable for bread and pudding
B) I thought it looked like an older model that was missing parts, and it is.
3) They went a little overboard in the details. Less is more.
The shape lends itself more to Jabba's EV-9D9 droid. You'll soon learn some respect!
@Monmorbet
Actually, I'm pretty sure they used an old mixer to make EV-9D9. Just like they used ladies' disposable razors to make the Jedi communicators, and Star Destroyers were made from pieces of battleship models.
I keep meaning to find out who did the voie for EV-9D9. To me, he always sounded a bit like Riff-Raff (Richard O'Brien). Hear it in your head: "You'll soon learn some respect... In the master's sail-barge."
And on the bad news front: Google tells me there's an awful rapper who called himself Riff Raff, thus ruining the Google search for the RHPS character forever.
I was going to say the exact same thing (including the quote)! Kudos to you for also being awesome!
