@profbrantley I am disturbed, but, yes, I will be carrying this. \/Shakes head sadly. What have we become when Archie is zombie-fied?
You know, we joke a lot here about how to reinvent classic properties, and sometimes we think of some very inappropriate suggestions for the source material. That's what fans do.
I never would have thought something like this would be done officially...

Then again, I never thought Archie would meet the Punisher either. If, as the image above suggests, Jughead has to be shot in the head to get his zombified brains blown out, my inner cruel adolescent will find massive retroactive satisfaction.
Because why should the inner child get all the attention? Inner sullen teen wants to play.

Here is a more in depth article on the Zombie Archie...including a small synopsis
This seems like it could be the Archie equivalent of Marvel Zombies, with the whole Riverdale gang afflicted with a burning hunger for brains.
As a longtime fan of Archie comics, I am baffled as to how they will pull this off. Yes, there have been somewhat more adult-oriented Archie comics like Life with Archie, but I cannot recall even seeing blood in an Archie comic (the Punisher tie-in, a crown jewel of my comics collection, is actually light on violence ). How Archie can do a zombie apocalypse comic and maintain a family-friendly rep is beyond me, but I am intrigued.
This could be the greatest thing ever! I hope it starts a trend where everything gets a zombie apocalypse spin off! Maybe the 4th Avengers movie can be Marvel Zombies? How I Met Your Mother gets a ninth season where the gang has to survive infected New York? TMNT vs Zombies! The idea has potential, at least for morbid jerks like me.
@TheInferno I really did enjoy the Community Halloween episode where everyone got infected with a zombie like virus.
I am excited by this because zombies are great. Boom...Headshot!

Spoiler alert. It is all stopped by Josie and the Pussycats when Melody accidentally drops Cheryl Blossom out a window where she hits the electric generator into Veronica's fathers pool and that electrocutes all the Zombies because (little known fact) Zombies love pool parties.
Although in fairness, the inner pubescent teen would love to see Betty, Veronica, and/or Cheryl in their own version of Night of the Comic mall scene.
"If, as the image above suggests, Jughead has to be shot in the head to get his zombified brains blown out, my inner cruel adolescent will find massive retroactive satisfaction."
Really? My inner adolescent always wanted to see Jughead blow everyone else's zombified brains out. What can I say? Dude was the original '90s Kid close to fifty years before the '90s even began. He struly spoke to a generation, albeit in the voice of middle-aged writers.
Also, WWWHHHAAAAAAAAA???
@skrag2112 Oh, that would be satisfying as hell indeed...But Veronica will do as a substitute as well, if necessary.
