So here is my take on the whole thing.  This episode was SOLID.  It really developed the relationship between Rick, Carl and Michonne as it should be.  Plus it left some of the farm-esque B.S. behind.  Also it was a stellar episode because Andrea was not in it!  

I will say that I would loved to have spent more time with Morgan, though according to IMDB he comes back in episode 16.  Morgan is a great character they can really develop into something especially crazy!  I loved the story of how Duane turned, I actually got choked up a bit.  

I hope this is a turn in the right direction for the show since the writer of this episode is the new show runner.  And i really hope Kirkman gets off his stupid horse made of money and really pushes the show runner in the right direction.  One more farm like episode and they could lose a lot of viewers.

Hitchhiking during a zombie apocalypse is a bad idea.

I was getting annoyed by Rick the last few episodes    Was getting upset with Michone too.   I mean really you can't even give people your name "Michone"    Good to finally see her talk like a normal person and be normal person.  

Rick being such a jerk.  Not letting anyone in the group.   I mean seriously you didn't know all those other jokers before and now they are part of your group.   I mean the only betrayal you had was Shane and you saw that one coming.  I mean how can you really be that burnt on trusting people?    Then just letting folks die in the street.    You only got this far on the kindness of strangers.    

Now at least I feel like I got the old Rick back after this episode.  I can understand "clear"  Cause Rick now has a "Clear" head.  Saw how he was going down the crazy road and was going to be all by himself.  

I still hate Carl and wish someone would eat him.  Stay put Carl, Stay here Carl, Don't move Carl,  Don't come in here Carl.  Can someone whip that kid?  At least for once he stayed put when Michone told him to.  Finally

I've been concerned that the second half of this season is turning into a redux of Herschel's farm (especially last week's episode) - nothing substantial happening to move the story along.  At least in this episode, they moved beyond the jail, developed some characters, and we got to find out what happened to Morgan.  I guess they never really said how far the jail was from Rick's home town, but I assumed they were a good distance away.  It baffled me that they would make such a long drive just to raid a police station, when they probably passed dozens of others along the way.  I liked Morgan's "Home Alone" set up - wish we saw some more details of it.

That SNL clip was terrible, but the episode was pretty solid.

God damn you, Walking Dead.

I mean, here I was, ready to accept a merely solid episode so I could make a joke about how Bob's Burgers did an E.T. parody the same night that starred Jon Hamm as a talking toilet & yet was still genuinely more emotional & heartwarming than whatever you had. But nooooo, you had to go & make the season's best episode, one that kicked total ass & had some of the best writing & character moments so far. So I just look like a fool mindlessly praising two excellent TV shows.

Dammit.

Also, the second I saw the Walking Dead sketch on SNL, I also thought it was pretty weak & a lowlight of the episode, & became disappointed over how, of course, it would sadly have to be featured here. That being said, I kind of giggled over how they just brushed off Maggie's death at the end with Daryl commenting, given some offings this season...but that was unintentional.

In comparison, SNL's highlights were the Z-Shirt sketch, which was pretty funny at first but even more so when it led to something truly unexpected later (a nice & funny rarity, alas), & the sketch about voicing the Dove chocolate ad, where Kevin Hart just gets gleefully angrier over each take until he actually starts pointing out holes in the ad. Good stuff.

Oh and something else...the scene we saw during the Talking Dead of next week, i will guarantee you that is at the end of the episode.  What I want to happen here is that they start to talk things out but when they realize that things are not going to happen in regards to a peace treaty they decide to draw up battle plans like in the days of the civil war.  Rick will choose the battle ground of his home town knowing he has Morgan the wild card in that town and will draw him into the battle with the Governor.

That SNL sketch is so....so, awful.

Also, it was great to see Michonne round out a little more as a character and get more speaking lines.  Even her time with Carl was pretty good too.

Let me just say that last night's episode was probably my favourite one of any season!  The writing was phenomenal, the cinematography was great, and the acting was amazing.  The scenes with Rick and Morgan were just great.  I sense like many have said already that this was what Rick needed to clear his head a little and focus.  This is going to make the next few weeks amazeballs!

Ok, do I have to go all over the "videos you can't see from your area" diatribe AGAIN???

They briefly discussed it on Talking Dead last night, but what do you guys think Morgan meant by "Clear?"  As in his job was "to clear."  Do you think he meant it more literally as in "to clear the zombies from the town?"  Or did he mean "to clear his conscience?"  Or was it "to clear someone from being a zombie (as in, "he's human.  He's cleared.")"  I love that it was ambiguous like this.  Kudos to the writers

It was nice to see Morgan (Lennie James) again.  He's one of my favorite actors.  Too bad Human Target lasted only one season.  Yes, only ONE season.  The walkie talkie gave me chills.  A very chilling episode that didn't have much to do with the zombies.  The chills didn't have much to do with the zombies I meant.  I realized that there were a ton of walkers in this episode after I posted that comment.  Very Romero-esque.

I loved the episode!  It had some real character development and moved the relationship of the characters forward tremendously, but it didn't do it in a boring way (like the early part of season 2).  I loved seeing Morgan come back, and seeing him in such a broken state was heartbreaking and understandable at the same time.  And, I think it really shook Rick out of his crazypants funk.
