Patton Oswalt’s Custom-Commissioned Road Warrior/Star Wars Mashup Toys

sillofroadwarrior.jpg

The last time Patton Oswalt enlisted the services of acclaimed toy customizer Sillof, it was to make a line of Russ Meyer/Star Wars hybrids as a tribute to Roger Ebert. They got along so well that Oswalt decided to commission another series from the artist – this time mixing two classic sci-fi trilogies to create Road Wars, a Mad Max version of Star Wars.

As always, Sillof has also come up with a storyline for the imaginary movie. Check out the rest of his images for a gander at how it breaks down.

It seems to me that working with Sillof might have been what inspired Oswalt’s Star Wars pitch.
