Stan Lee Tries to Get Excited About Doritos

Contrary to what some readers believe, I do not hate Stan Lee or discredit his achievements – I merely mock his shameless hucksterism and insistence that whatever he’s currently doing is going to be the greatest thing he’s ever done, when the recent track record indicates anything but.
And now I kind of feel bad for him. Promoting the next Doritos Crash the Superbowl contest, in which the winners will get to be free labor on the set of Avengers: Age of Ultron, even the consummate pitchman starts to flag a bit, falling back on a forced smile that barely fakes sincerity.
At about the five-minute mark, he starts to talk about storytelling, and you can totally see the difference – he actually starts to be interested in what he’s saying. It would be nice if we could see more such genuine moments from him again.
