nix.nightbird 5pts I just watched the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. first scene on Xbox Video, and while it looks good I have to say that whoever it is doing the voice-over in the beginning? She sucks. She's overacting and coming off very cheeseball, like she thinks the script she's reading is goofy and she doesn't take it seriously. That said, I would be on board for an Agent Carter show providing:1. It stars Haley Atwell (because I could watch her every week, easily).2. It's a period show based in the 1940s.3. They find a way to mix in some superheroes and supervillains now and again. The Human Torch exists. Arnim Zola lives. We never got to see Baron Von Strucker, Baron Blood, or any of the great 1940s villains. 4. It is NOT written and directed by Joss Whedon. I like him. I like that he's got a chance with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but the WB-esque casting and goofy voice-over work I've witnessed thus far tells me I want a creative team behind Agent Carter that doesn't think snappy banter and goofball in-jokes are the way to keep the series going. That shiat wears thin, and then there's just premise and story. We need someone who can make a non-superhuman 1940s woman into a compelling character that doesn't end up being a proto-Black Widow.5. Speaking of Black Widow, if they follow Marvel canon, she should be alive in the 1940s, and about the same age. People forget she ages super-slow.
