You’ll Lose Your Head for These 6″ Funko Legacy Game of Thrones Figures

When was the last time a new toy line was revealed by its appearance on shelves, with no advance looks online? These new Game of Thrones figures are, according to our sometime contributor Poe Ghostal, popping up in Barnes and Noble stores now. George R.R. Martin is reportedly furious at the irony of something related to his work showing up on time without any warning, or at least I hope he is.

These are by Funko, believe it or not, who are also making those vintage Kenner-style figures revealed Friday, which most of you hated. These really do appear to be similar to Star Wars Black, as claimed, which should make you optimistic for the other licenses apparently in line for this treatment…like Firefly. I only wish we still lived in an age of action features – Daenerys with hip-thrusting action, Ned with removable head, and so on.

Note: these are not to be confused with Dark Horse’s unarticulated 7.5″ figures, which just announced a second series of Cersei Baratheon, Arya Stark, Robb Stark, Jaime Lannister, and the White Walker..
