CGI Cerberus. CGI Hydra. CGI Nemean Lion. CGI Boar. Tattooed lizard-ish people.
And yet the best special effect in Brett Ratner’s Hercules appears to be Dwayne Johnson straining his acting to the extreme, Nicolas Cage style, laying the smack down on subtlety.
I’m not sure this will be “good,” but in its own way it could nonetheless be great.
