ActualButt 5pts I found it reeeeally enjoyable. Was it a mess? Yup. But it was fun. And I give them a lot of credit for killing Gwen. Sure there were a few parts that stuck out as being weird, dumb, or unnecessary, mostly in the neighborhood of accents, but the majority of the movie was a lot of fun. Skrill-Ectro was an...interesting way to interpret that character's powers and themes into a background score, but it was somehow fitting and inappropriate at the same time. And wow, what a waste of Paul Giamatti. But still, somehow, not? Even though it was a little overloaded with villains, they did it well by not forcing them to share too much screen time with each other. They each had their own sections of the movie to themselves (in costume anyway). Electro was taken care of, and THEN Harry swooped in on the glider. Harry was defeated, and THEN the Rhino showed up in his armor. I liked that.I dunno, I liked it. I don't think it was any worse than the Raimi movies as a whole. Obviously Tobey-Man 2 is still the one to beat, but taken as a group there were just as many odd little things in that series that didn't fit. But now we're just so much more critical of a Spidey movie. When those started we were a lot more forgiving, and I think that's because we didn't know how long the superhero movie boom would last.
