Say what you will about Man of Steel – I maintain that Michael Shannon is perhaps the only guy who could have pulled off nu-Zod without being automatically dismissed as inferior to Terence Stamp.
In this music video for Deerhoof’s “Exit Only,” he’s doing his best Bizarro World Superman and Clark Kent types, staring each other down angrily in a cell as the all-out, powerful evil one blasts music, and the glasses-wearing alter ego loses a few teeth. I’m not sure which one is more terrifying.
Don’t headbang too hard – remember, the snapping of necks is frowned upon in this dojo.
