No, not real gold. The moment I saw that this latest version of the 22″ figure was retailing for a mere $500, I knew that. It’s just vac-metallizing. But that’s like saying Skeet Ulrich just looks like Johnny Depp; Skeet Ulrich is still an awesomely talented individual. Who has nothing whatsoever to do with this toy. That we know of.
Glue this thing to a base, call it the Trophy of Awesomeness, and it would be more coveted than an Oscar. In my head, anyway.
