Patty Jenkins is the New Wonder Woman Director

It’s literally like they did a mathematical formula here. Hmmm, Marvel originally hired her to direct their second movie about a superhero based on a pagan god? AND she’s a woman? Bam. Patty Jenkins. It’s also poetic justice of a sort, since she was replaced on Thor 2 by a Game of Thrones director and is now replacing one.
At least I understand people having opinions on her…as opposed to Michelle MacLaren, who was suddenly everyone’s favorite filmmaker when she got fired, despite no track record in features. And Monster is a great movie, though it’s almost literally the opposite of Wonder Woman – or what I presume Wonder Woman to be – in every way.
Cautiously optimistic again. You?
