But you can't say he doesn't know his stuff. I'm generally not a fan of just linking to other sites -- I'm not trying to be an ass, it's just there are plenty of other sites that do that -- but I can't help myself this time. Behold the new greatest thing on the internet -- the Tron-a Sutra. Yes, WonderHowTo has made a Tron-themed guide to sexual positions, and it is pure carnal delight. Why have they done this? I'll let them explain it.

Thirty-three years ago, ILM and Lucas used a ton of mainframe hardware to crunch and render the masterpieces of the Star Wars series. Five years later came Tron. A few years after that, James Cameron and his IBM backed Digital Domain attacked the world of special effects.

Today anybody with the right skills can create something quite impressive. For SCORE, our nerd boy shot these tutorials with a RED camera, After Effects, a Mac, and a couple crappy bicycle helmets. And it looks sick.

I'm not sure that really answers the question, but I don't care. Please head here for 20+ positions that I desperately wish were being performed by Cindy Morgan or Olivia Wilde. To quote the great and very instructional movie itself, "My friends, we have just scored." (Via Has Boobs, Reads Comics)

Rock Band 3 Just Took My $60 (Possibly $130)

Well, fuck. I don't even have $60, let alone $130, so the fact that I'm now required to buy Rock Band 3 when it comes out is actually kind of a problem for me. Why? Mostly because Harmonix announced the official set list today, but also because of its features. I'll post the songs and some comments after the jump -- it's really long -- but I can tell you that the features include the keyboard instrument, three-part vocals (which means up to six players at one time!), a better music library system, a party mode (perfect since I usually play with friends while drinking), and more. And I'm actually kind of excited to try and learn to actually play a keyboard, especially since Harmonix has been cool enough to release a game/keyboard only pack for $130 if you don't want to rebuy the other instruments (not all companies would be so kind). But really, it's the music -- check out the massive full set list on the next page!

Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Series

It's happened! The BBC officially announced an hour-long special based on Douglas Adam's Dirk Gently mysteries. The show begins production next month and will air on BBC 4. The good news -- this special will more or less be a pilot, and if it does well enough, it should be picked up for a series. The possibly bad news -- it's being written by Howard Overman, who also did Misfits, which I believe some of you just loathe. So there are a lot of unknowns here -- but it's always nice to see Adams' work get a little love. Cross your fingers, nerds. (Via Geekosystem)

Super Terrific Japanese Thing: Yaskawa-Kun

By Rob Bricken in Tech

Yaskawa-kun is a robot made by the -- wait for it -- Yaskawa ice cream company, which automatically serves ice cream with a smile and an oversized head. When the robot uprising finally happens, I take some comfort that Americans will likely be killed by our hideous, evil-looking Terminators, and the Japanese will, somewhat embarrassingly, be brutally murdered by goofy-looking robots like Yaskawa-kun. On the other hand, our Terminators will probably tear us apart like fresh bread with their cold steel mandibles, and the Japanese will die by lethal doses ice cream, which will be significantly more pleasant and delicious. So it probably ends up a draw. (Via Kirainet)

Bob-Omb Squad

Music time! Here, the Manchester-based band Well Wishers perform their cover of Sex Bob-Omb's "Launchpad McQuack" (not the song's actual name) from the first volume of Scott Pilgrim at a local comic store's celebration of the final volume. They're not the first to provide their own music to the lyrics from the graphic novel, but I do dig it. Besides, it's an easy way for me to remind you that the amazing 16-bit Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World game finally comes out for Xbox Live today, so your PS3-owning friends can stop lording it over you. Enjoy! And thanks to David S. for the tip.
