Marvel Comics Fans Heads Have Exploded
The first issue of Marvel’s Secret Invasion finally streeted today, and…yeah, fans are freaking out. Sorry, but because of spoilers, let’s move this to after the jump…
The Avengers’ Hank Pym and most likely their butler Jarvis were revealed as Skrulls, but the big thing that has everyone’s heads exploding is that Skrull spaceship, which was mentioned landing in the Savage Land in the Entertainment Weekly preview last week. That spaceship was carrying:

? Spider-man
? Mockingbird
? Captain America
? White Queen
? Iron Man
? Phoenix
? Luke Cage
? Wolverine
? Vision
? Jewel
? Hawkeye
? Scarlet Witch
? Thor
? Wonder Man
? Invisible Woman
? Ms. Marvel
All old-school, with old-school outfits (yes, Luke Cage had his yellow blouse and tiara; Wolverine had his first whiskered costume) and saying decidedly old-school things (e.g., “Sweet Christmas!”). The idea that all these heroes are legit, and have been replaced by Skrulls since the ’70s and ’80s, which would ret-con almost the entirety of the Marvel Universe has seriously freaked Marvel fans out. It’s fun, and it’s funny!
