Here we are, people. Mere hours away from the beginning of Heroes season 4, subtitled “Redemption.” Since the Heroes guys have been promising a return to the quality of season one for at least both halves of season 3, I remain skeptical. However, despite my fears, I am contractually obligated to run another amazing Topless Robot Heroes Live-Blog of Bitching and Schadenfreude.

PLEASE NOTE: The Heroes premiere will be an astonishing — and potentially punishing — two hours long, mean the show starts at 8pm EST, and the live-blog will begin promptly at 7:50. Also, since I haven’t checked with normal live-blog helper monkey Ctrees yet (and he could probably use some more help anyways) if you’re at all willing to help moderate the live-blog, please email me at toplessrobot(at)gmail(dot)com. I’d be very grateful for the help.

ALSO NOTE: As of this article being posted, you have less than five hours to buy the necessary booze to get you through the premiere. I bought $90 worth of liquor at lunch. I only pray it will be enough.

About Author

Robert Bricken is one of the original co-founders of the site formerly known as Topless Robot, and its first editor-in-chief, serving from 2008-12. He brought the site to prominence with “nerd news, humor and self-loathing” as its motto, raising it from total internet obscurity to a readership in the millions, with help from his savage “FAQ” movie reviews and Fan Fiction Fridays. Under his tenure Topless Robot was covered by Gawker, Wired, Defamer, New York magazine, ABC News, and others, and his articles have been praised by Roger Ebert, Avengers actor Clark Gregg, comedian and The Daily Show correspondent John Hodgman, the stars of Mystery Science Theater 3000 and Rifftrax, and others. He is currently the managing editor of io9.com. Despite decades as both an amateur and professional nerd, he continues to be completely unprepared for either the zombie apocalypse or the robot uprising.
