ThunderCats, Huh?
At some point over the weekend, the above CG video appeared on the nerdernet. It’s ThunderCats, but not any ThunderCats like you’ve seen before, as an oddly photorealistic Lion-O (well, photorealistic as far as alien cat-people go) fights Slithe. Supposedly this is test footage from one of the aborted ThunderCats reboot attempts during the ’00s; I’m skeptical, but I have to admit that Lion-O is kind of annoying spunky in a very studio-approved way. Plus, I imagine if a fan or group of fans made this, they would have made Lion-O a bit less flippant and goofy and a bit more badass. Either way, Lion-O’s personality aside, the video is groovy as a what if, and Slithe looks pretty goodamned awesome. What do you guys think? (Via Nerd Bastards)
