?? Robot Chicken: Star Wars III
So both I and my former ToyFare co-workers more or less make a living making fun of George Lucas and Star Wars. Except when they do it, they get to go to Skywalker Ranch and hang out with George and meet Billy Dee Williams and stuff. I get jack shit. THIS IS WHY I DRINK, PEOPLE.
I don’t know how nerdy this movie is, but a lot of my pals have told me it’s the best CG animated movie in forever, and it’s a slow DVD Day anyways, so why the hell not. Feel free to tell me why it’s so awesome/sucks ass in the comments.
? Doctor Who: The Awakening and The Gunfighters
Episodes 132 and 23, respectively.
On Blu-ray, but not the Criterion version. You’d be better off with the Criterion DVD than this non-Criterion Blu-ray, just sayin’.
? Battle Beyond the Stars
Roger Corman’s cheap-o Star Wars rip-off with a ton of extras, thanks to Shout Factory.
? ThunderCats Season 1 Part 1
In case you missed it the first time. 33 episodes on 6 DVDs for $16.
? A Big Box of Cowboys, Aliens, Robots and Death Rays
A box set of 8 old Westerns you have never heard of that have some sci-fi elements in them. They are almost certainly terrible, but at $13 for the set, it’s almost worth taking the chance.
? Spider-Man XXX: A Porn Parody
Out next Monday; I’m posting it now so I don’t forget, The SFW trailer is here. You know, I never thought there’d be a time in my life when I was upset that pornography was adhering too closely to nerdy franchises, but this thing stars J. Jonah Jameson and Robbie Robertson. They are almost certainly double-teaming Betty Brant, and that is absolutely nothing I want to see. Seriously, porn industry. You don’t have to be that authentic. Please.
