The Last Action He-Poe… Er, Hero
This is the trailer for The Raven, in which a goateed, action-packed Edgar Allen Poe tries to stop a murderer from murdering people in ways inspired by his work. I honestly can’t tell if it’s so dumb it looks like fun or so dumb I want to bludgeon myself to death. I mean, it’s obviously dumb no matter what, I think we can agree on that, right? My concern is that movie appears to take itself very seriously, despite the fact it’s about Edgar Allen Poe fighting a serial killer. I mean, if Poe doesn’t kick some people’s asses and through out some horrible one-liners while doing so — “Quoth my fist, NEVERMORE!” — I’m going to be thoroughly disappointed. (Via First Showing)
