If you’re not familiar with the Brit-directed, Indonesian-set action movie that was known on these shores as The Raid: Redemption, you may know it better by its other-other name, That Movie Your Smart-Ass Cinephile Friends Keep Saying Dredd Is Just a Rip-Off of.
For my money, Dredd was slightly better because I liked the characters more. But The Raid certainly had killer fights, and the sequel isn’t confined to an apartment building.
