It’s possible this will be better than the movie itself (seriously, how many more movies are going to “ironically” cast Neil Patrick Harris as a womanizer?). But love Seth MacFarlane or not, there is one thing unassailable about him – his endless, arguably annoying remembrance of every bit of pop-culture from his youth. So when it comes to making an online game based on A Million Ways to Die in the West, you wouldn’t expect him to just crib from one classic arcade game, would you?
You shouldn’t. It’s framed as an Oregon Trail rip-off, but at every stop you encounter westernized versions of Frogger, Donkey Kong, Centipede and more. You also get to hear the movie’s theme song, which is as profane as you’d expect.
