Bryan Singer Confirms 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea Will Be His Next Film
I’m not sure this was screaming for a remake, but it’s been a while since it’s had even a decent ripoff, so okay. Actually, looking over Singer’s filmography, I’m glad to have him doing an adaptation, because when he tried for a more original take on Jack the Giant Slayer, that was some serious bullshit. Everyone takes liberties with Captain Nemo, so a closer adaptation actually would be nice to sea, er, see.
I’m sure, given prevailing trends, that they’ll steampunk the shit out of it. And perhaps rightly so.
