G.I. Joe Ultimate Battle Pack Is Surprisingly Ultimate

ToyNewsI reports on a Target-exclusive G.I. Joe set called the "Ultimate Battle Pack," and I'll be damned if the name isn't startlingly accurate. Here's what's in it:
• Mobat Tank (motorized)
• Cobra Crimson H.I.S.S. Tank
• Cobra Commander's Personal Flight Pod
• Steeler
• Stalker w/Jet Pack
• Short Fuze
• Cobra Commander
• Destro
• H.I.S.S. Tank Driver
So three vehicles—one of 'em motorized—and six figures for...$50. That's pretty damned ultimate to me. It comes out in December; there are plenty of extra pics here if you need 'em.

Posted 07/11/2008 at 01:46:57 PMThat is indeed ultimate. I guess they've paid for those molds 100 times over by this point, so they can afford to put them out at a relatively low price. I'm still going to hold out for realistic 6-inch figures. One of these days, hopefully by the time the movie comes out, Hasbro will listen to the 6-inch fans. But if it's just movie-style guys at that scale, I'll be ticked.
