• Since 3rd edition anyone can wield whichever weapon they want. Clerics can wield longswords (there's even a god who uses it as his personal weapon), thieves can wield two handed battle axes, and fighters can wield saps. But seriously, who gets killed by a ring of magic missiles? It maxes at 5d4!

• Do knock it 'til you try it you bunch of haters! I found this game recently at a used bookstore and me and the gang had a blast playing it. Hella fun! I've had way more luck getting people to play this than getting them to play my Star Wars Trivial Pursuit. Now THAT is some nerdy shit.

• Rob - I'm pretty sure Hawthorne wrote some short stories along that line. Hawthorne's crap was mad nerdy, if you consider his fandom as being Northeast wilderness tracking and survivalism.

• This has been out for a while; I'd say five years at least, and maybe more. I think they released it around the same time that 3.0 or 3.5 came out. I bought it when it first came out; it's been in high demand on eBay in the last couple of years.

• Hamilton, I think you're right... I haven't played D&D in probably 22 years or so, but I seem to remember the Mace of Disruption being a Cleric's weapon. It's amazing that I ever got laid.

• This is the coolest thing I have ever seen. And I'd play Star Wars Monopoly with you. But only if I get to be the Emperor.

• "Nebin the Gnome Wizard with the Mace of Disruption in the Chamber of Tricks & Traps..." Sounds like a lot of hardcore S&M going on in this Clue game...who was using the Staff of Power...and on whome?

• If the guests groan they get a flaming axe in the backside...in the Library of Arcane Tomes. This truly is one of the coolest things I've seen in a while. Much cooler than SW Risk or Monopoly.

• cKHAVIKk — Which one of those guys wrote about elves and midgets with magic rings? 'Cause that guy was a huge nerd. A creative genius, but a nerdy one nonetheless.

• "Do your guests beat you to death with a lamp, to put you out of your nerdy misery?" Question is: in which room do they do this?

• I take exception to Lord of the Rings being classified as "nerdy" in any regard. If Tolkien is dorky, then so is Twain, Hawthorne, Hemmingway, and Camus.

• Given, I haven't kept up with D&D for two or three editions, but I don't think Nebin the Gnome Wizard can wield the Mace of Disruption. It really bothers me that they imply he can.

• I think the nerdiest thing ever would be Dungeons & Dragons RISK--and the Lord of the Rings RISK that already exists is a very close second.

• I've had this fora few years now and usually get a lot of groans when I bring this out. That or everyone wanting to play Simpsons Clue.
