As well it should. Head over here to be emailed by Thinkgeek if they manage to convince Lucas to allow them to make the thing (frankly, I think odds are pretty good, since Lucas no longer seems to care what has the Star Wars logo on it any more). My hate has been put on hold until further notice.

But did George Lucas honestly ever care what the Star Wars logo was on? I mean there's a reason half the jokes in Space Balls are mockeries of the merchandising from that franchise.

Okay, so, when I found out this was a joke, I fumed with righteous anger to my brother, who had thought it was a legitimate project.
Then, I said, screw it, I'm making my own. So, if these tauntaun sleeping bags are not produced (which they should be) I will gladly make some for people who are desperate for them (Mostly Mr. Bricken, because he's the one who informed me in the first place). For the record, I am mildly qualified for this, I'm a costume construction student, and I've been sewing weird useless crap for years now.

I'm assuming there will be another update about this, we have not seen the last of the tauntaun sleeping bag. If the next update says it's not getting made, I'll post my email or something.
