I'm not sure where this came from, but the gents over at The Blu-Ray Blog were kind enough to send over the trailer for DC's next next animated DVD movie, Superman/Batman: Public Enemies. It's not long, but it contains a great many of the villain cameos from the Jeph Loeb/Ed McGuinness graphic novel, a quick shot of the awesomest robot in the DC universe (and I understand that's saying something), and most of all, Batman and Superman punching and kicking things. YES!!! I only dreamed they would try to incorporate the McG art, expecting to get the run of the mill DC has been using for this. (Although, they have been getting better which each flick). But actually delivering those designs? I more excited than ever now.

No, the Diniverse/Timmverse died with JLU, unfortunately. The animated dvds are all self-contained continuities, each in their own little universe.

It's only because I got into Batman in the 90s and really have a fondness for Bane that I decry the that fact that he loses nearly every fight he's involved in due to someone cutting the Venom tube coming out of his head. Not since a Lord Zedd putty has someone been so blatantly defeatable.

I actually dislike McG's art... well, the linework and the character design, the coloring in this comic was fine.
But yeah, this was a campy awesome series run, I just hope they include the Supes and Bat family parts as well. I may just be too hopeful.

I hope everyone will allow me a brief moment to geek out, but...they included Catman as he appears in "Secret Six" in the shot with all the villains,standing next to Deadshot no less. This is awesome, and if I wasn't planning on seeing it before, I'm now seeing it in the off chance that there's some banter between the two.
