For little girls who want to fend off pedophiles in adorable style, or grown-ups who want their muggers and rapists to know that their potential victim enjoys cuteness. Actually, this could be a fake — I don’t see Sanrio allowing Hello Kitty’s face to be split by a seam like that — even if it is, I have no doubt the diabolical minds at Sanrio will see this and have them churning out the assembly line before I’m even finished with this sentence.
