That's looking really good! Plus bonus nerd points awarded for using the Blaster Beam noise from Star Trek The Motion Picture at the end of the trailer.
I would guess that's the PC version and the 360 one will look a little weaker in comparison but I didn't see anything there that the 360 couldn't do.
I just wonder how "accessible" the game is going to be? I never played the originals but I seem to recall they were quite complicated so I have to wonder if things will need to be simplified for the joypad controls?

The cherry on top is the fact that they clearly got the licensing hammered out for at least some of the "unseen," as the star of the show is a Warhammer. And the whipped cream is the fact that this the fact that it's set in 3015. I always liked the pre-Clan setting where Mech's were rare and valuable heirlooms handed down through the generations, constant, brutal inter-House warfare had made their care and maintenance as much lost art as science, and MechWarriors were born the old fashioned way out of vaginas.

This video is... is... just... oh, I don't know the right words to express my feelings! It was time for Mechwarrior to reborn, and I hope, this game will be great, people will buy it, and then the franchise can go wiiiild!! I'm thinking about at least one episode for the upcoming 30 years! :)

Mechwarrior is OK, in a "tank battle" kind of way. I'd prefer them to make a good kaiju battle game that looks this nice.

I've been waiting for a return to this franchise since two months after MechWarrior 4 came out (the parallel news that they are releasing Mech 4 and ALL IT'S EXPANSIONS FOR FUCKING FREE HOLY FUCKING SHIT FUCKING FUCK SNAKES OF DOOM is making me leak into my shorts).
This has been confirmed to be IN GAME FOOTAGE. Let me say that again...IN GAME FOOTAGE. Shit...Fuck...Stack. Indeed.
I've been doing ok with the fact that my PC blows, and hasn't been able to run a recent game in about a year. Now, I'm crying into my pillow and trying to figure out how to convince my wife to let me by the biggest fattest mostest fastest PC evah so that I'll be primed to play this game.
Maybe I could give a few blow jobs....

Doesn't Microsoft Studios flat-out own the Mechwarrior and Shadowrun licence? If that's the case, this probably isn't going to go cross platform to the Sony.

@JohnMatrix - One of the original BattleTech creators got the rights back in the last few years, for both properties I believe. In any event, his new company is one half of the group working on this, which makes it even more awesome.
The 'official' reveal on IGN UK: http://uk.pc.ign.com/articles/100/1002275p1.html
And their big exclusive interview: http://pc.ign.com/articles/100/1002164p1.html
Jonesing so hard for this.
No release date because they're still hunting for publisher/funding to figure out the scope of what they'll be making, and as per the note on the trailer itself, that's in-game/engine footage(using Unreal Engine 3)

Can't fucking wait!
Just a nitpick- the mech designers might want to come up with a new ejection system. Like one that doesn't deposit the ejected mechwarrior directly on top of a small mushroom cloud.

Hey, anyone remember Heavy Gear 2, that game rocked the house! They need to make a sequel to that game. Though Mechwarrior will appease my neeed for robots with missiles.
