Of course, we all know that girls don't read comics -- I'm pretty sure there's a law to that effect. She must have wandered in accidentally or was buying something for her boyfriend, AS THERE IS NO OTHER EXPLANATION. The group is called Tripod and they're Australian -- I don't really know what their deal is, but their logo is based on the TSR logo, which makes them both nerdy as shit and awesome in my book.

The distracted verse at the end was very telling. The geeky train of thought is a runaway. Also, it took almost a year, but my girlfriend collects more than a dozen titles monthly now, and still gets stares when she goes into the store.

Yeah... I love the local comic store, and every summer I ask if they're hiring. Every year the manager looks at me funny and says, "no." I'm not sure if they just have no turnover rate to speak of, or if he just isn't sure what to do with a girl in his store. ^_^
Still not as bad as the time I went into the gaming store to pick out dice and the clerk followed me around the store the whole time with a look on his face like he'd spotted a unicorn.

I see lots of moderately hot girls in the comic store near my place. Of course, they usually go to the manga section, which I don't go to.

It always seems to amaze guys... yes, geeks of the female persuasion exist too! Even worse than if they see you looking at comics or roleplaying stuff, though, is if they see you playing an MMO or fixing a computer.

Great song. I'd go into comic shops. If there was any! Seriously, I've only ever seen one comic shop in real life.

Ugh, Australian Flight of the Conchords. I couldn't get through that. I like the episodes of FOC where Aussies are portrayed as total d-bags.

I can go one better then a hot girl in a comic shop. I'm in a relationship (2 Years +) with a hot girl who GOT into comics by being with me (She's a big X-23 & Deadpool fan now).
Hell for my birthday last month, she bought me the X-23 Sideshow statue (Limited edition version no less) seeing as I love X-23.
Can I have a shirt now?? Actually, who needs the shirt, I have my hot girl who loves comic books. >:-p

Furthermore, let's see how many proposals Scortia gets now that she's outed herself as a comic girl.........
If the reactions of guys in comic book shops and Games workshop (Warhammer 40K) are anything to go by when I visit with my girlfriend (All eyes are on her, I could be on fire and no one would notice), I think Scortia will have some admirers quite soon. >:-)

This reminds me that I need to go to the local comic shop and pick up some dice before I need them again...(And I'm female to my knowledge.)

Really? This band has been around for a while. Guess only Aussies know about it. They usually feature on a lot of Aussie skit shows.

I read comics! And am female! We really aren't that rare. Granted, I only read The Sandman and Batman, but it still counts right? Right? Guys?....

Female geeks - even female comic book geeks - are not rare at all. For some reason, this fact eludes the male geek.

This song, as with Tripod, has been round for far longer than FotC. There was an Aussie sketch show called Skithouse back around 2001-2002 which had Tripod in it, among other Australian comedians. They'd perform a song at the end of each show, which was almost invariably nerdy (As with their sketches), and this was on that. This is before the FotC concept would have even been thought of.

Agreed Kellyanne, but then again I can never find any guy geeks near where I live. They're all hiding on the internet.
And yes, I read comics too.
