Last year they limited the likenesses to their own songs, except for the Rocktacular ending in Times Square. Kinda bugs me what they did here but I'll get over it...eventually.

This is a fucking travesty, there is no way in hell Kurt would have approved of this, Activison is pretty much pissing on his grave. I was conflicted when they first announced a Cobain avatar for GH 5, but I figured he would be playing exclusively on the Nirvana tracks, but the end result crosses the "iffy" line into the realm of very poor taste and horrendously bad judgment on Activisions part.

@ZeroCorpse: I'm interested in hearing who you think is a "bastion of artistic integrity" in the music industry. Yes, due to his death, one could certainly argue that Nirvana is overrated in one way or another, but the man was a great artist. Yeah he was a junkie; he had problems like all of us do. Um... wait a moment, why are people saying that the game won't be any good on the basis of this? Surely it's a positive thing if you can make characters in a game do ridiculous stuff. Being able to stretch Mario's face, being able to play Resident Evil 2 as a piece of Tofu, and being able to design Mortal Kombat style fatalities using Mario characters in Mario Paint...

Heck, good taste be damned - I'm pleased that you can make Kurt Cobain sing silly stuff. What people who actually knew Kurt Cobain will think about this is a different matter, but, so long as they aren't expressing outrage, I don't see much reason to be concerned....

What is a little disturbing is that someone must have spent days animating Kurt Cobain for all those songs. That guy is twisted!
