Oh, shut up about the title. It's a slow news day anyway, so I figured I'd post some shit I twittered about yesterday -- specifically, the Maxim cover of BSG's Tricia Helfer and Grace Park, who look good but seemingly put Playboy to shame in the overused airbrush department. The only reason I'm allowing myself to post this is because I happened to find a nerd girl/gay nerd equivalent...
...which is BSG's Jamie Bamber's PETA ad. If any of you, guys or gals, prefer me not to resort to post sexy pictures of nerdy show actors and actresses in their underpants (or lack thereof) during slow news days... you have my sincerest apologies.

Grace Park has always been hot (she was even hot when she was wearing the flight suit...sexy tomboy thing)and she is especially HOT in this issue of Maxim...LOVE the cover shot of Grace-she's smolders with those eyes and mouth.
-
Quick! He has been placed under PETA's evil pet killing spell! We must liberate his mind!
-
"But, hey thanks for being that token guy." Well, somebody has to point out the obvious. You weren't gonna do it.
-
Thank you for that! :) :) :) Some days I love being bi. This is one of those days.
-
haha @Mike I don't think there is a thread on the internet about peta that doesn't have a guy like you that has to mention that. Although I must stress that I do not like peta, but as long as they don't interrupt my steady supply of meat products they are easy enough to ignore. But, hey thanks for being that token guy.
-
As a bi-geekstress...THANK YOU. :)
-
I had no idea that jamie bambler was whoring himself out to an organization that kills 95% of the animals in its care. http://www.petakillsanimals.com/ But at least he has great pecs.
-
He was cute when he got a little chubby (like the scene where he wakes up from that nightmare in his underwear, the whole Cally beating thing aside, was awesome), but when he got fat, bald, and angry I stopped finding him so attractive. But I think that Aaron Douglas was also the best younger male actor on the show, hands down, so that may have had something to do with my love for him. I also never found Helo attractive at all, and am still not finding him hot on Dollhouse, no matter how many people tell me that he's gorgeous. I don't see it.
-
Me too, Chelsea. Though I prefered him heavier. And when he wore those glasses. Also, the "bearskin" pun would have worked better with him.
-
I appreciate throwing us ladies a bone, too, TR. Apollo looks tasty there, but Chief Tyrol was always more my style (you know, before he ate half of Galactica's food supply.)
-
urrrghh I'm a hot blooded heterosexual male but this is just really off putting. I dig healthy looking ladies, someone needs to feeds these women some pies to help them put some bulk on. Sadly the actual spread from the magazine gets even worse than this cover.
-
Saaaaaaay Jamie Bamber! Wow, that's a very interesting picture. And thanks for the all inclusive T&A (or Pecs & A).
-
I dunno. Neither Tricia Helfer or Grace Park ever really did anything for me (although they were both pretty good in Command & Conquer 3). Maybe it's because I like women whom...I dunno...eat. If I can see the outline of their hipbones jutting out from their bikini briefs, I'm gone. Gimme someone who's built like a real woman. If BSG's they way you're going, I'll take Katee Sackoff over those two anyday. Or Felicia Day for that matter.
-
Haven't the queen's guard's caps been made of synthetic bear fur for years?
-
"Bears suffer and die for the Queen's Guards' caps." I thought Bears were wearing them. Hey-oooooohhhh!
-
Phasers in Galactica? Epic fail. On the other hand, it's probably 'shopped anyway.
-
You can tell that they added the parenthetical under that stupid "Phasers" headline when somebody in the office protested, but they were so in love with their "clever" pun that they couldn't bear to actually, like, come up something else. All those headlines are bad, off the cuff cliches lacking in any real cleverness or wit. In a recession era like this, those are the best editors Maxium can dig up? Eh, they always were pursuing the half-wit "lad" market, but now they've degenerated to striving for short-bus "lad" appeal. & that photoshop "artist" couldn't get a job doing porno dvd covers.
-
MORE NERDY SEXY MEN!!!!
-
This looks shopped. I can tell from some of the pixels... Tricia = meh, but Grace...OH YEAH!
-
"Bears suffer and die for the Queen's Guards' caps." Yeah, but bears eat people, so I think it's a fair trade.
-
I had to actually look to see who the woman was next to Grace Park. Tricia Helfer has been waaay Photoshopped, which is sad as it's completely unnecessary.
-
Looks nothing like Tricia Helfer... she even looked better in Playboy than she does on that cover
-
It's sad that the amount of photoshop used here actually makes the women less attractive than they are in real life. Tricia Helfer doesn't even look like herself here. If I had run across this pic without context, I never would have guessed that was her. Also, @Suz and @Rodz, I'm totally with you guys. Tricia Helfer is so much hotter with darker hair. Even on BSG, when different model 6's started showing up with dirty sandy blonde hair instead of platinum blonde hair, I was stoked because I thought the additional color only made her prettier.
-
Set phasers to sexy, haha. Morons. Nice pics, though. Who cares about a slow news day when it ends on a note like this? Kudos....
-
The Jamie Bamber inclusion is very much appreciated.
-
@ Suz You are not alone. Tricia is definitely hotter as a brunette.
-
Maxim cover: This looks shopped.I can tell from some of the pixels and from seeing quite a few shops in my time. PETA ad: Nice of him to be for animal rights. Its a shame that PETA is a bunch of hypocritical nuts ("Don't skin the bears." That's something reasonable I can get behind. "Don't keep them in zoos." Wait, what? "Letting bears to live out in the woods exposed to the elements and having to forage for food is inhumane." *facepalm*)
-
This isn't serious nerd news. I demand my internet moneys back.
-
Only us nerds would complain about a star trek reference when there are two hot girls we can look at even if they are heavily photo shopped.
-
Grace Park is crapping out some small text.
-
You never, ever have to apologize for things like this. Oh my, never.
-
And, for the record, I'm a girl. There was some confusion in the whole Nerd Theories Contest, but yeah. I'm female.
-
Please, more nekkid Jamie Bamber. No need for apologies. Just more pictures.
-
And FYI Odowan, the teensy print below the "Set Phasers" description says something like "Yes We Know That's Star Trek." Still lame but at least they know the difference.
-
Wow Maxim really went to town with the Photoshop, if I ran across that randomly on the web I would have assumed it was an "actress photo pasted on someone else's body" jobbie. Shame. And finally, I just saw the Supernatural episode with Helfer in it. Am I alone in the opinion that she looks better as a brunette?
-
Yowza!!! On behalf of nerd girls/ gay guys everywhere THANK YOU for including a half (damn) naked Jamie Bamber. I am all for equal opportunity T&A. And althoughI am 110% straight... Grace Park... I'd totally hit it.
-
more zachery quinto please
-
Well, I had to stare for a few minutes untill I kind of recodnised the girls. PHOTOSOHP RESPONSIBLE THIS?
-
Why on earth would you apologize for posting pictures of naked actresses and actors?
-
My condolences to Grace Park and Tricia Helfer. I was unaware that they both landed face first on hot irons.
-
The Maxim editors have clearly never watched a single episode of Battlestar Galactica if they use the word phasers in the description.
