I repeat: HOLY. LIVING. SHIT. My new and only desire in life is to drink this beer. I'll be checking my local liquor stores, but seriously, Topless Roboteers, please, please, please -- if any of you know how I can get a hold of this beer as soon as humanly possible, YOU EMAIL ME. YOU EMAIL ME IMMEDIATELY, GODDAMMIT. And all hail Onanrulz for the tip.Sometime around Monday, 12/21, the beer will be sent from distributors to stores, this according to a Beer Advocate poster who got the info from the brewery's Rob Leonard. Leonard has posted his own update in the thread:
"We distribute in CT, MA, RI, NY? and FL. We listened to the BA voice and made IST more affordable and brewed twice as much this year. Our target shelf price is $13.99 for a 750ml- not bad, right? Better than $10 for a 12 oz. The bourbon barrel aged IST will be a brewery only release, but the 750s will go to the stores who have supported us to keep it fair. There may be a very limited growler opportunity TBA."
With an average of 4.31 on Beer Advocate, IST appears to be very close to breaking the top 100, should that average hold up on this next batch. This is the first time the beer will appear in 750's after previously being available in 12 oz. bottles.

I'm praying I can find it somewhere in the Twin Cities area. I love a good stout. And the label design is full of win.

That's awesome! I love the beer eyes on the trooper helmet. Oregon has a crap ton of microbreweries, but no Stormtrooper brews. I'm jealous.

As an Imperial Stormtrooper, I must seize a couple cases of it and determine its quality.
Thanks for sharing.

Anybody want to make a beer run for the Topless Roboteers? I stand no chance in hell of being able to get this shipped into my state through legal channels, but if anybody wants to set up a trade I can probably hook you up with some sweet Mountain Moonshine...you just have to sign a waiver that says you wont sue me if you go blind and/or retarded. I wanna get drunk as hell on Stormtrooper beer and then ride an ATV through the woods pretending I'm on Endor...YUB NUB!!!!!

Just cut out this label, and tape it to a can of some other overpriced pisswater.
You'll re-create the same experience without any of the guilt that comes from having such a currently pathetic goal in life.

Protip from someone in the shipping industry:
You're about to be inundated with requests to send this to nerdy friends across the country if you live somewhere this stuff has distribution. Shipping alcohol across state lines is technically bootlegging if you lack the proper permits. Nobody who works at your local UPS or FedEx likes that fact, but none of them are willing to risk their jobs over it either. So have your ISTs packed before you bring them to be shipped and have them packed well enough that they don't break in transit and force a package search due to leakage. Just tell the person at the counter that the sealed parcel is full of something non-fragile (seriously, pack the box like Ft. Knox--fragile packages tend to receive pre-intake inspections) and of an equivalent weight.
Happy bootlegging!

NEB's Stout Trooper is as fantastic as it sounds.
They've been making it on and off since '06, and I've been drinking and cellaring as much as I could get my hands on. I can send you a bottle of this if you want, I'd be happy to help in this quest as I have a bunch sitting in my basement right now.
I'm in CT and I LOVE New England Brewery, they are a great bunch of guys. You have my email address via this form so just drop me a line!
