That incredibly expressive humanoid face that that robot's sporting makes it look like a Robot Master. Could this be America Man? Will Mega Man 10 be a globe-trotting adventure?

I kind of liked Who Wants to Be a Superhero, in all its cheesy glory. :) The challenges were mostly about moral questions, choices about right and wrong. Made it interesting.
Stripperella had potential too! Okay, I go too far with that one.

I've read the manga for this and it's pretty much mediocre shonen schlock.

Maybe the Japanese haven't heard that Stan Lee needs somebody more talented than him to do the work and then steal the credit for. Zing! obligatory stan lee hate. Now back to hiding.

I have no idea what this $hit is gonna be about, but don't let the name get you down...Being the anime enthusiast I am for the last 13 years, let me tell you the Japanese have no concept of making titles for shows...This $hit might wind up being a moe heavy girl fest and you'd never know it...I mean do you think BLEACH is about Samurais fighting over Clorox??

Kaoy replied to wingdarkness:
Granted, Japan sucks at naming things(all time favorite anime, Big O, being a very nice example), but Bleach's name actually makes sense. It's a reference to the main characters hair colour(bright orange), and how everyone simply assumes he bleaches it since that is what the very, very dark brown hair most Japanese have looks like when you Bleach it.

Speaking of Evangelion, in think this could work as a dark, mediatative piece. Think of it as a ham-fisted metaphor for America's proud military prowess and ongoing protectorate role for many other states (including Japan) juxtapon a changing global climate (economically/politically/militaristically/environmentally) in which the forces of globalization, interdependence, and power diffusion create a kind of identity crisis. It'll start out campy and bright only to get darker and grittier as victories become more pyrric and less absolute while the interests of states originally cast as benevolent become conflicted, creating a system of allies eating each other. It can be all brooding and morose and existential and shit with the ironic use John Philip Sousa marches in the background. And this being Japan, there's gotta be some kind of nuclear holocaust element. Or am I asking too much?

Lol,no,no you aren't. Although I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Stan Lee suffers a Anno-style nervous breakdown half way through production.

That sounds more like an exposition of the plot of Claymore than a 3rd rate shonen like this manga is.

this just shows that some things go together due to their unique ness . and hero man proves that stan lee seems to have found some one who likes his current stuff wonder how long before some one gets the rights to bring it here. plus that crazyness attracts crazyness stan lee and Japan with hero man proves it.

After reading the first two chapters of the manga, I don't think the anime will be too bad.
Besides, this is a pretty positive portrayal of Americans compared to some other Japanese stuff I've seen. *Cough* Getter Robo *Cough*
Not that western cartoons have a much better track record with Asians...

um, hello? "Heroman" and "Joey Jones" sounds infinitely tame than just about EVERYBODY in the Gundam-verse! think about it!!
future husband: say, honey, what should we name our newborn boy?
future wife: how about "Chibodee Crocket"?
future husband: WHAT?! woman, are you HIGH?! who on god's green EARTH name their 23rd century boy "Chibodee"?
future wife: you'd better like it, buster, or there'll be no sex for you from now on.
future husband: ...Chibodee sounds nice...
and as for american/japanese comparison, really? REALLY?! if you think japan comes up with the DUMBEST names, you probably were in a coma when they invented "Mister Sinister", "Olgivile Maurice Takeshi Hedgehog", "Richard 'Dick' Ryder", and "Anita Fite" just to name a few!!

On a separate note, I kinda like it when there are international collaborations on things, even if the final product isn't always the best on some things. In a world where so many countries are tense with each other, it's refreshing to see two countries work with each other in order to try and release some escapism entertainment. :3
