• They are somewhat blind. They have a barcode from which you can figure out what is in the bag. You can find a pic of the mini-figure and the barcode that matches it on the interwebs.

• I went back today to get some more. They sold out. 200 of them. In one day. Gone.

• I actually found series one yesterday at TRU. they were $1.99 each.

• I saw over on brickset.com that someone bought a whole box of the blind bags, and created a key with all the UPC bars so you can tell which bag contains which figure. I haven't seen these yet, but there are some great new sets showing up at stores now. I got the new Lunar Limo set, which has a purple zoot suited space pimp! A Space Pimp mini figure named Brick Daddy!

• AND Lego mime comes with alternate heads!!!! I hate mimes...but love alternate heads.

• I found wave one at my local Toys'r'us today. I bought three of them. I got the ninja, the magician, and the spaceman.

• Part of me hates Lego for making these as a blind pack. I think I'd rather these not have been made than to have to f@#$ with f@#$ing blind packs. Essentially, I'll have to do research on which ones I must have, then go and poke holes in every package to find what I want. It wouldn't be the first time, but I feel like a douche bag for doing it, and I feel bad for anyone who isn't a douche bag for getting stuck with the bad figures no one wants. People who release blind packs have a special place reserved for them in hell. It's one level beneath where lawyers, politicians, and homosexual icecream truck driving serial killer clowns go. Bastards!

• Where would you buy these blind box sets? I liked the idea so much I tried finding somewhere online I could order a box but all I could find were people discussing the bloody things to death.

• Are those new styled ball hip joints I'm seeing on Karate dude? If so...fuck yes!!! Probably just the toon artwork though, which is misleading. I totally support this line: 1) The lines that popularized this kind of collectible figure have been Lego style homages and rip-offs, so its only fair that Lego gets in on it. 2) Lego sets can be pricey, and their marketing plan feels like extortion sometimes with larger sets having unique figures and more of them. They've gotten less stingy lately, but many people are in only for the figures . 3) Most of these come with an all new piece, which is a rare thing. Some of the early Star Wars and most of the Batman figs had really forced pieces, like odd helmets and hairstyles. It's a common complaint that specialized pieces ruin the creativity of large sets, but it's a great thing to see many more specialized tiny parts. 4) They're fucking cool, and I don't even collect Lego. -

• My fave it the Jersey-Shore-coiffed Karate Kid holding a small gold robot.

• If I'm not mistaken, wave 1 is set for a June release.

• Word man, LEGO is high quality plastic. You ever steped on a LEGO? Who won, the brick or your foot? And the things last forever. You never hear of someone tossing out LEGO because they were no good anymore.

• Lego ring master has that look because of Lego mime looking at him and also being close to what has to be the lego version of an older version of Jem who has sadly let time catch up to her. plus he figures no one will want to buy him when they can have Lego bay watch guy

• I'll take exception to one part of your rant. They are most definitely NOT the same cheap ass plastic found in vending machine prizes. Never, not ever, sorry. Back on topic, these are all fine and dandy, but when and where was series 1 available? I have never seen or heard of anyone who actually HAS any of them.

• I will agree that LEGO's are ungodly expensive!

• I liked LEGO as a kid. Now..? I HATE them. I loathe the fucking things. They're everywhere, they're constantly in my face now. In video games, on websites... all over the place. - And they're too expensive for what they are, which is a few cents worth of cheap-ass plastic. They're the same materials found in vending machine prizes, and yet people pay hundreds for a box full of them. - I realize I'm taking a radical stance here, but I'm inviting others to join me. FUCK LEGO. They need to be stopped.
