You thought so too, huh? I thought that animation style looked familiar... and seems I'm not the only one that thought that... So, Rob... I take it it DID give you a hard-on? Oh, and thanks for the credit...[/sarcasm]

Hard: ON
-
Quite possibly, but I used to work at a book store, so I still have a compulsion to organize the bookshelves, so at least I left everything tidy. Plus I was waiting for my girlfriend to call me for when she got finished hanging out with a friend, so I also have a girlfriend going for me.
-
Like the Book's. I will defeat all of you for its love.
-
'Tis.
-
And cover it in grits.
-
When I saw the Akira arm attack, that was the first thing I thought of. Pirate Baby Cabana Battle Street Fight 2006 is finally getting made into an actual game! WOOO!
-
Is this a Paul Robertson project? It very strongly reminds me of a (lazier) "Kings of Power 4 Billion %"
-
Manga Cow detected!
-
Like Double Dragon meets sex. Perfectly awesome.
-
YouTube comments are ALWAYS depressing, but the ones for this game are even more so. Buried under the arguments between PS3 and 360 owners over the timed exclusivity, there are people saying it's a rip-off of Castle Crashers. Christ, kids, the 1990s weren't THAT long ago!
-
So much WIN! KITT Limo, Matthew Patel & the Demon Hipster Chicks, Roxie & Bass Battle with Todd... I soo need this.
-
That's the kind of love reserved for a women who falls in love with assassins at a young age or whiny, retarded jedi only to die of a broken heart. I would shave its head to, adds to the over all feeling of sacrifice.

It's also nice how what looks like Scott's finishing move is book 4's 'boob punch'.
-
I sat down at a local Barnes & Noble a few weeks ago and read the first four volumes (they didn't have Vs. The Universe in stock), and I absolutely loved them. This looks about perfect, and as a bass player, I about died laughing at Todd's "crazy awesome bass solo" animation and Scott's follow-up attack.
-
Nice!
-
Don't forget Steven Stills and Ramona Flowers as Players 3 and 4....
-
There's nothing to type. I can't express how much I am looking forward to all things Scott Pilgrim that are coming in 2010. It just all looks more perfect than we could have hoped. I don't even care if the movie sucks, because we'll still have the game. Also, the movie won't suck. It will be fucking fantastic.
-
I forget, but I Thought there was supposed to be a Wii/DS version as well (meaning, everything but the PSP, which could really use a game like this). Anyone confirm/deny?
-
More like Dragonball and old school coin-op powers. But these aren't that odd. Remember that the Pilgrim Uni. is based on "what if everyone deserved an action figure?"
-
You know, I have never regreted buying a Wii instead of a 360 more than I do right now. 2006 me was such an idiot.
-
I just want to be friends with it...no kidnapping, and seducing...that's how much I love it...try not to terrify the poor game.
-
This looks absolutely perfect. It's the perfect adaptation of Scott Pilgrim: it's not remotely "accurate" - Stephen Stills and Kim Pine have no obvious fighting ability in the comics, and Todd Ingram's powers in particular have been ramped way up - but it takes the intent of Scott Pilgrim, the heart, and runs wild with it. If anything, the comics could be based on THIS game and it would make more sense. It looks fantastic as a game by itself, too. Unlockable moves and abilities, team attacks, lots of variety in the enemies and boss battles, gorgeous graphics and music... hell, they haven't even tried to tie it to the movie with Michael Cera's likeness or anything. I imagine a lot of people will enjoy this game without ever having read the comics or watched the film, and if it encourages them to seek those things, then all the better.
-
When you think about it, Scott is killing his opponents, many of whom are famous. Lucas Lee was a high-profile actor, and Todd Ingram was in Canada's biggest band, but there's never any fallout from their defeats. That's the point, though, isn't it? The Scott Pilgrim world works under video game rules.
-
I completely suck at games like this, but I still want this game just to look at the pretty pictures.
-
The music is done by a band called Anamanaguchi (http://www.myspace.com/anamanaguchi). Support these guys!
-
I've never read Scott Pilgrim so it could be something different but does that one guy have the same arm as Tetsuo?
-
I hate when they exclude pc gamers, we buy 2d games too and indie games(like in steam), even we can play in a 360pad ps pad, wiimote...
-
I'd rescue it, introduce it to the notion of anarchy, allow it to go back to its former life, only to capture it and put it through sensory deprevation and fake torture in order to strengthen its resolve to my cause, then reveal that it was all a hoax and it would love me even more as I sacrificed myself on a train full of explosive to blow up alternative universe Parliament.
-
Holy mother of fuck. It's like getting the chance to actually PLAY "Kings of Power 4 Billion %". I'm sure the Scott Pilgrim aspect is great -- I really want/need to read the books at some points -- but it's artist that has me really excited. I only hope the gameplay is tight enough to make it worthwhile.
-
I just remembered I've seen that style before. Paul Robertson is great.
-
Hooray for Kim Pine player 2!!!
-
Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network.
-
RIVER CITY RANSOMness!!!
-
You just need to check out Paul Robertson's (the artist's) Livejournal page. He makes great sprite art! http://probertson.livejournal.com
-
No, that seems appropriate.
-
It's awesome to see that the game is staying true to the comic's Canadian origins. Defeated enemies drop loonies and toonies!
-
I love this Scott Pilgrim game so much I want to take it behind the middle school and get it pregnant!
-
Well...I'D keep it in the basement long enough so I could skin it and wear said flesh as a suit I love it that much... ....too much?
-
I like it in the same way I liked Castle Crashers--a "back to basics" side-scrolling beat 'em up--but I'm still over-analyzing the Scott Pilgrim Universe as a whole. How the hell can a few people have DBZ level superpowers but no one else seems to give a shit?!
-
I'd kidnap it and keep it in a well in my basement. That's how much *I* love this game.
-
Listen to that glorious music.
-
I'd be the bastard you'd hate because he stole your wife, Rob.
-
...wow.
-
I think it's for download on the major consoles. And I'm a huge fan of any game that uses beautifully animated sprites.
-
I wonder what platforms this will be for?(crosses fingers for 360).It would make for a pretty kick ass handheld title as well.
-
I've never read a single Scott Pilgrim volume, yet I think this looks amazing. I love this.
-
oh man, it looks so yummy
