Actually, it looks pretty great. I didn't realize that the Justice League would be showing up in this thing; I guess I kind of assumed it would be like Teen Titans where the kids kind of live in a world by themselves. That's awesome, and the fact that they're staying in the Hall of Justice even moreso. I also like that characters are apparently going to die; my money's on either Speedy or Artemis, since the show arguably needs only one archer (if any). But the thing I like best is that the animation looks fantastic. Maybe we're seeing the extra good stuff, or parts of a pilot episode that had a higher budget, but based on the clips they showed in this video, I'd put it ahead of most of the DC cartoon DVD movies. What do you guys think? (Via CBR)

Or... y'know, the legal rights to make the series being disputed, rather than something unbelievably dumb like that.
-
Bruce Greenwood is the voice of Batman in this series. And considering he was pretty darn good in Under The Red Hood, I'm not at all disappointed by that.
-
I'm curious. @ 1:52 on the board behind them I see Mary Marvel (awesome) and the white Aqualad and I believe maybe Tempest?? Also at 0:10 what is up the the color variants ?? A black and red Kid Flash ?? and @ 0:50 did they make Zantana a dude ? please no. Even though it all looks promising. Death to Artemus.

Phil Bourassa is doing the character designs for Young Justice. He also designed "Crisis on 2 Earths" - they announced it at the panel on Friday....
-
The show looks incredible - I was at the panel on Friday and seeing the trailer in person gave me chills! Can't wait for more!
-
You can probably blame Cheeks Galloway's ugly art as the primary reason for Spectacular being canceled.
-
Yes they got it back like a year ago.
-
That's the ugliest design for the Martian Manhunter ever created.
-
Woohoo! I am totally stoked about this show! Pretty much I've decided if it's a DC Animated series, it's got to be at least good, if not amazing.
-
You DO realize they meant ALTERNATE UNIVERSE in the fact that it doesn't adhere to the New Earth (Comics) DCU continuity, the DCAU "Timmverse" continuity, the Teen Titans "Murakamiverse"/The Batman continuity, the Brave and the Bold continuity, the Legion of Superheroes animated continuity, or any other preestablished DC Universe animated/live-action media. Only sticklers for stories to adhere to traditional norms will find something to bellyache about this series. I supposed you were ticked that Robin founded the animated Teen Titans with the Perez-era characters and not Wonder Girl, Kid Flash, Speedy, and Aqualad too, right? It's going to be a great series, and if it's dead to you, that's fine too.
-
Wow! Looks great! They are killing off characters?! That is a big stuff! Can't wait for it!
-
Pure Awesome! I wonder if they will bring in Joker, and if so who will play him? Gonna miss Mark Hamill. Animation is awesome, no awkward anime like teen titans. Wonder which channel it will be on.
-
looks good, just wish Bruce Timm and company were running it.
-
I've since stopped being anal about animated DC projects, particularly animated series, being consistent with the continuity of the comics. So what if it doesn't necessarily match up? As long as it's good, it shouldn't matter.
-
I read in and article that it's gonna be Dick and Wally.. Dammmit! That makes no sense. No, wait.. It's... wait for it.. AN ALTERNATE UNIVERSE! (aka a wizard did it). http://www.ugo.com/tv/comic-con-2010-young-justice This series is dead to me. I don't care how great a cast it has or that it's from the creator of Gargoyles. To have Dick Grayson leading Young Justice as Robin? That's just beyond dumb. You're mixing apples and oranges. You might as well make a JLA with Superman, Azbats, Alan Scott as Green Lantern, Hippolyta as Wonder Woman, and just invent some new blue character and call them Martian Manhunter. What the hell makes Warner and DC think they can just play musical chairs with characters? Why do this character in name only? Having Connor with Dick and Wally doesn't make a lick of sense. More importantly it's a whole new dynamic in terms of character and story. Why even bother putting Connor in? At this rate make him Mon-El or something stupid like that. Go for the full hat trick and have no actual Young Justice character in the show called Young Justice. Bah. Any hope I had in this show is gone.
-
Yeah, I did see some similarities to the Crisis on 2 Earths designs too. Especially Wonder Woman and Martian Manhunter. And I'm okay with that. From what they showed us here. I am quite excited.
-
It was revealed Friday at the Brave and the Bold presentation: http://www.ugo.com/tv/comic-con-2010-young-justice A few spoilers in that link too.
-
Not bad. I wish they hadn't dropped the death secret, I remember how The X-men series blew my mind when they killed Morph right away. (Wait, maybe they off Jason Todd.) My guess is Artemis will be killed, replaced by Wonder Girl, then brought back. Very happy to see Red Tornado, Captains Marvel and Atom, would like to see Ronnie Raymond as Firestorm, Vic Sage as The Question, and a Hawkman that doesn't let some dude bone his old lady. That said, I'm really tired of John Stewart. He was in damn near every episode of JLU. I haven't seen Hal Jordan animated for more than two seconds since "Super Friends. Seeing Red Arrow makes me hopeful of seeing Changeling, Starfire, Raven, Cyborg, and Nightwing. Also, the goggles on Kid Flash are stupid looking.
-
you know, i don't HATE this! and to think i reserved my joyous cantata for JUST direct to DVD greats! i really need to open my mind a little bit more...
-
This looks great, and even better than Teen Titans. Not that Teen Titans was bad or anything as I enjoyed it too, but this looks like it's playing to a more mature audience; basically the people who dug Justice League/Unlimited. Between this and the new Thundercats cartoon (which I'm hoping will also have a trailer at Comic Con), I'm stoked.
-
Wow, this actually looks KIND OF good! What got me was the similarity to the DCAU animation when the regular A-listers including Wonder Woman, Batman, and Superman showed up. I might actually enjoy this! Now to just forget JT Krul is writing the Teen Titans comic! SELECTIVE AMNESSIA! SELECTIVE AMNEESIA!
-
I think we are ignoring the fact that Greg Wiseman is producing this. He also created Gargoyles (which, along with Batman: TAS, is the reason we are in a golden age of animation) and the unjustly canceled Spectacular Spider-Man. He's an animation demigod.
-
Where's Wonder Girl?
-
They just announced at Comic Con that Wonder Girl and Arrowette may show up in the series.
-
you know I cant believe I didn't get it right off, but looking at the archer with the league I'm guessing Speedy might actually end up replacing someone on the league.
-
Sorry, but I'm kind of tired of hearing the fuss about the Aqualad redesign. Let's wait until the show comes out before making any more jokes about his character.
-
we have to break it down in terms of team roles and demo graphics. It probably won't be one of the girls,(we need the prerequisite cute girl Miss Martian and the Artemis will be the team tomboy/touch chick) the so we can have gender diversity, it won't be the black dude, Superboy's the leader looks like, and i don't think Dick's ever died. so yeah bye Speedy, you will be missed...kinda....man I wonder if they'll do the drug thing
-
It's better than the Robin mask. seriosuly Dick that aint fooling no one
-
Wait, they can say "Superboy" again?
-
it looks interesting . love the justice Leaque as mentors. and if wonder woman is involved could that mean a viist by wonder girl later in the series? plus can not wait to hear who is the voice of batman. can not wait young justice looks like a interesting cartoon
-
This is from Wiki, so take it with a grain of salt, but... "The Justice League will also feature, including members Batman (Bruce Greenwood), Aquaman (Phil LaMarr), Green Arrow (Alan Tudyk), and Captain Marvel (Rob Lowe)." Holy balls. :D
-
yawn.
-
The thing is, Wonder Woman would be mentor to Wonder Girl/Donna Troy, and there was some issue with that character appearing in animated form. I remember reading somewhere thy wanted Wonder Girl to appear in the final season of Teen Titans since that would allow them to have all the founding Titans from the comics appear, but it got nixed for some reason. Also, interesting they specifically showed old school Speedy, then a design for Roy as Red Arrow. He might not be part of the Young Justice team since if he's appearing as Red Arrow, he's kinda no longer a teen like the rest of the team would be. Maybe a flashback showing him as a teen on something?
-
I still don't know about Blaqua-Lad.
-
Q: What role does the Justice League play? A: Everyone EXCEPT for Wonder Woman are mentors and proteges.
-
Is she supposed to be a Green Arrow sidekick or a Wonder Woman sidekick (given the Greek mythology reference). Also, I didn't see Speedy in the group shot at the end, but I did see her, so maybe he is going to die. Just sayin'.
-
I like that that brought back the same team from Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths. It looks pretty cool, the only question I have is, Is Kid Flash Bart or Wally? And if he is Bart why the hell does he have red hair? But that aside, I cant wait. BTW, did anyone else notice that awesome Gargoyles drawing at 0:14?
-
They said there were a number of recurring characters and included Speedy in that list. I'm gonna guess that it won't be one of the main six (Robin, Aqualad, Miss Martian, Artemis, Kid Flash, and Superboy) that gets killed.
-
Booo-_- so no Secret or WonderGirl? Well at least there's Artemis as Captain ersatz for Arrowette^^
-
(Of course, I'm making a joke about the phrasing of what he said, not that I actually think that there will be skull fucking.)
-
Yes, but he said "sex pounding in your head," which makes me think he's doing it wrong. That, or it's some effed up Vertigo style show . . .
-
Looks so awesome. I miss the crap out of Teen Titans, but this looks pretty sick. Can't wait for a full trailer to be released.
-
I had zero interest in this thing till now, and now I wants it and I wants it now! Hopefully the series will live up to my expectations that this promo gave me. Also anyone think that the designs are similar to Crisis on 2 Earths?
-
Yeah...boo on Artemis. Maybe they'll kill her off and replace her with Arrowette. Or the new Mia Speedy. Or maybe somebody somewhere will make a show just for me and give Green Arrow his own spin-off.
-
Is the video not working for anyone else
-
It looks good to me and I heard them use the word sex. Sex makes everything better. I still want to know what the deal with Artemis is. Who the hell is she? And why did they give her such a terrible design for her mask?
-
I've been a fan of DC Animation universes since Batman TAS, but until this promo I didn't think Young Justice would be of any interest. More fool I. Now I'm going to check it out for at least a few eps. Thank you advertising disguised as interview!
-
Even if Kevin Conroy doesn't actually voice Batman in this series, he is still THE voice of Batman. That said, I really hope so to
-
PLEASE tell me Kevin Conroy is the voice of Batman.
-
Hot damn, this looks REALLY good. It's nice to see the Justice League in there along with the excellent animation...this, and the new Avatar series both have me crazy excited.
-
Huh looks cool. Though I think it woulda been better if they just didn't mention anything about killing any one off and then just did it. Would be more of a surprise that way. As it is now were just waiting for it
