Craig Charles accidentally mentioned in an interview that a new series of
Red Dwarf was coming, courtesy of the British comedy channel Dave. Two things: 1) He specifically said that the series was going to start filming in November, which is a very specific date and lends credence to his statement, and 2) November is a far, far way away, and lots of shit can go down between now and then so who knows if it'll happen. Either way, fellow actor Richard Llewellyn confirmed it.
On the plus side, it will be a 6-episde run like the original show, and not a mini-series like
Return to Earth, the last
Red Dwarf series on Dave. Charles did say that he hoped the new series would return to the glory days of series 5 and 6, but then it would've been weird for him to say he hope it kind of sucked like
Back to Earth. (
