Just watched the intro to the first episode, and the only question I have is "Why did it take this long to make?" Seriously, Marvel Comics were practically designed for Japanese animation, and even the dramatic tropes of the 60s-80s feel like they would have fit in anime of any timeframe. I started to fall out of anime as it turned more towards the "collectible battle" anime like Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh or the by-the-numbers school shows, but if X-Men brings it back old-school (and hopefully Supernatural anime does similar) I might just fall back into what made anime good for me back in the 80s/90s.

ya'll babies don't know how to google search http://www.anime44.com/category/x-men gonna watch it now, excited, hopefully there will be some boob jiggling action

I don't think that linking to a video that has been leaked and leaking the video are QUITE the same thing.
-
And it's already gone.
-
my bad, U-Men are the group the X-Men are fighting. my bad
-
Not too bad, but they called them the U-Men? Seriously? Can't the Japanese pronounce "X"? I thought is always came out as eksu. I'm partway through episode 2, the only thing I don't like so far aside from U-Men is Wolverine's reaction to being stopped at the metal detector. If you're a part of a persecuted minority you don't unsheathe your claws in public like that! Do what Wolvie did in the X-Men movie (or was it X2?) where he said it was an old war wound, don't be retarded.
-
Hmmm...visually stunning and writing that's an utter atrocity. That seems fairly consistent with about 90% of the anime I've ever seen. I just can't comprehend the Japanese predilection with characters that are emotionally retarded (and I do mean that in the clinical sense, as in stunted). There's a long list of anime that I've been turned-off to because of that.

I find the brooding/furtive glances school of writing/directing/acting really inexplicable and BAD in live action - I can now say I find it equally a sign of BAD in animation!
-
I'm so glad the first 3 eps have been good, because after the disaster that was Ironman, and the super-averageness of Wolverine, Marvel doesn't look like it'll suffer a $hitty trifecta... Look at the movement of the characters, that's what separates anime from Western animation...Fluidity, and this Xmen show has it...
-
Wolverine & The X-Men was definitely (what could've been) the best. The writing and voice acting was leaps beyond the other incarnations.
-
Yeah I liked that too. This may be no Wolverine & The X-Men (man I really liked that show) but it looks like fun.
-
You know what I liked about this? Like, really, really liked? Storm saves that ship using her mutant powers....and the crowd's immediate reaction is not "She's a mutant! Get the hell away from us, you freak!". That's already a big plus. I'm already looking forward to the rest of the series.
-
I must point out that this is the worst thing to happen to the property because one of the characters does something they would never do, as you can tell in an issue of The Uncanny X-People One Shot published about 23 years ago. While I understand there have been different character interpretations, they aren't adhearing to the interpretations I like, which means it sucks. This is at least fifty times worse than the American Dragonball movie, and anyone who chooses to watch this should be sterilized for the good of future nerd-kind. Really though, this works way better than I expected it to.
-
This artwork reminds me of the old Demon Wolb movies. I was waiting for a bunch of tenacles to come out and rape Storm.
-
You know this is straight-up piracy, right? Like, absolutely no different from linking people directly to the leaked Wolverine movie a few years back? This show is owned by a US licensor, man. C'mon.

I gotta hand it to Madhouse, the graphical representation of the X-men using their powers feels pretty epic. The Phoenix animation and Storms little bit at the end were certainly the best animated version of their powers I've seen. Oh, and Cyclops didn't look as bad as I expected.
-
Why does Storm look like Elena from Street Fighter 3?
-
Is that Castlevania music they are using near the end of the clip? Sounds familiar. I wanted to add that I wasn't a fan of the Xmen Evolution or the Wolverine and the Xmen series. I didn't like the stories, dialogue, or the drawing style of those. I really loved the voice acting of the characters from the Xmen Animated Series from the early 90's.
-
I'm not a fan of most Japanimation, but I do like some of the action sequences in here. But even those action sequences are lacking in substance. You can't completely tell what's going on. I don't really like this Xmen Anime. What I do want to see is a nice balanced version of this Xmen Anime mixed with the character models and stories of the Xmen Animated series of the early 90's on FOX. But because that series was made for kids it was lacking in actual violence/action. If we could make a PG-13 version of that cartoon featuring action scenes similar to the Xmen Anime, that would be a lot better. I want to see Wolverine battle Omega Red and Sabretooth, I really prefer that drawing style over this Anime style.

I've been watching it and, so far, the one thing that really bothered me is that Emma Frost is completely out of character here, at least so far. I'm sure that'll be a huge dealbreaker for the comic book fans. Madhouse is closely following the Ninja Scroll style here, specially with the villains. I'm liking the visual aspect of the series, and the scene that opens the first episode is by far the best looking Animated X-Men ever, even down to the suits. Finally, being only 12 episodes, if it ends up sucking real bad I didn't waste that much time.

The subtitles are really awesome for watching these on the sly at work! Turns volume way down, carefully arranges windows and tabs...

Yes, the first arc of the re-re-re-re-revamped X-men comics (they have been good) they fought a vampire army whole first attack was a suicide bomber, who stepped in the sun in a cafe to explode and spray his vampire parts allover hoping it infected people. One of the people was Jubilee who apparently not being degraded enough originally and then losing her powers got infected. She still is infected and I think has a duo book with her and wolverine, that I don't read. Cyclopes also used Wolverine as a sleeper agent, letting him get infected by turning off his healing factor to, just turn it back on so he could get behind enemy lines, did this with out telling Wolverine too. Short version, yes she is a vampire now, No I don't think anyone really cares

The Tick was a great show. For some reason when I think of "The Tick" I think of "The Critic", which was an equally classic cartoon in my mind. Maybe the association comes from old reruns on Comedy Central??? Anyways, Yay for the X-Men Anime! It couldn't possibly be worse than the Wolverine Anime...

I agree about not giving a shit about Hisako/Armor. Even when Joss Whedon wrote and created her she was not that interesting. She is probably the most dull of all Wolverine's teenage girl sidekicks. You know there is actually a much more interesting Japanese teenage girl character on the X-men roster they could have used. Nori Ashida/Surge has been the leader of an x-team and just all around had a lot more interesting things to do as a character since she came along. By the way is it true that Jubilee is a fucking vampire now? I mean I know comic continuity can get complicated sometimes, especially x-men continuity, but Jubliee is a fucking vampire, are you kidding me?
-
I didn't care for it. The intelligent, talking squid, and big breasted teenager Storm, and the menacing, sadistically smiling bad guy were all just too much for me. I just can't take Japanese bullshit anymore.
