I really loathe the pony show. To me, it's a mediocre cartoon that unfairly overshadows literally dozens of superior programs airing right now.
But the existence of this video almost validates its existence in my eyes. Almost.
This is a video of the ponies of My Little Pony singing the Wu-Tang Clan's "Shame on a N----." My apologies if the lyrics of an 18-year-old Wu-Tang song offends you, because that is certainly not my intent. The timing on these mashups always cracks me up. It's like the animators were unconsciously working to make a stock bank of animation that can be mixed and matched for the most nefarious purposes...
This is exactly what it feels like! Sometimes it just feels like you're putting the square peg in the square hole with these clips. Friendship is Magic is a great show, but it's an outstanding creative medium.
Now I'm left hoping this plays on the jumbotrons when I see Wu-Tang play live on Friday.
