I didn't even realize there was a Tron panel at SDCC this year, although that's probably for the best. I would have likely done some terrible things to get in and see this new video for the Tron: Uprising cartoon, even though it's mostly concept art and character models and most of the animation we've seen before. As is, I had to change my pants mid-way through watching this video.

i really appreciate that its not all computer generated like the awful-looking green lantern cartoon. computer animation would actually make sense here, cause its tron. its literally inside a computer. but the human stuff all looks like traditional animation. much respect to that. can't wait for this now.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. What is so great about Tron? Rob clearly has some kind of uncontrollable sexual attraction to the franchise (I fear he may one day lead a new race of what can only be described as Tron-hards), but are there any fans out there who can calmly explain to me the appeal without ejaculating onto my cape? I don't know. I always thought TRON looked cool but I was never a big fan. The original was kinda boring to me as a kid and I had to fight off sleep in the theater to get through the new one. This cartoon looks solid though. I hope it's more exciting than the last film.
