In Russia, Invisible Electricity Aliens Invade You
So this is the trailer for the sci-fi flick The Darkest Hour, about Speed Racer and some young friends hanging out in Russia when invisible aliens arrive, suck up all the power, and then start making people disintegrate. As a movie about an alien invasion, I feel compelled to let you guys know about it, but I’m not sure how far the Russian settling and the “aliens can only be detected by throwing light bulbs around” motif will take it. On the other hand, I may just be disgruntled because this is produced by Timur Bekmambetov of Wanted and Night Watch fame, as I’ve come to realize he makes movie that could be totally awesome and yet inevtiably screws them somehow so they only achieve 65% of their potential coolness. Or maybe I’m just extra bitter today. I don’t know. Anyways, Speed Racer, aliens, Russia, light bulbs. Your mileage may vary.
