So, the animation here seems decent, voice acting is fine. But the problem with all these DC animated movies is, no matter how much effort they put into them they can never measure up to the Timm/Dini-verse.
agreed. I'm no fan of Batman as a character (I think he gets too much of a spotlight already) but RED HOOD was, so far, the best DCUAnimated movie they've produced. It was well told, well (voice) acted and the drawing/animation/character designs were spot-on.

All for the better. Even though most of Dwayne MacDuffie's post-JLU output has been... Questionable, at best (All-Star Superman didn't do justice to the sheer greratness of the comic, for one), but at least he knows how to write for the Justice League... Unlike Greg Weisman.
You could argue that, but Crisis on Two Worlds was DCAU / Earth-Timm-Dini / Whatever in every way but the fact that Cap'n Whitebread was GL.
I think the idea at one point was that the movies and YJ would share some common elements, but who knows if that's the case.
It's better than that. Not only are Conroy and Daly back as Superman and Batman, they got all of the original Justice League voice actors to come back to voice Flash, Wonder Woman and Martian Manhunter.
The one exception to that is Hal Jordan, who is voiced by Nathan "Captain Tightpants" Fillion. Between all that and this being the last script Dwayne McDuffie wrote before his untimely passing... yeah. This could be the greatest DC Animated movie ever.
And given that they're using Hal Jordan and not John Stewart, that's perfectly fair enough.
(Though that didn't stop them from using Wally's VA as Barry, naturally.)
