While DC and Warner Bros. wring their hands about the sheer impossibility of making a Justice League movie, fan Daniel Brown cut through all the bullshit and decided to show DC how it's done. Specifically, it's done like this -- with a trailer which is better than every non-Nolan-involved DC movie that WB has put out over the last decade (and with special effects at least on par with Green Lantern, tragically). Seriously, guys, just put Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman in a movie together and have them beat something up. It's not rocket science, okay?

Good frickin' grief! Why can't this happen and without origin stories? Why does DC continue to let Marvel beat them down in the live-action movie category? DC has the animated feature movies locked down, but the Nolan/Batman movies have been the only saving grace for DC on the big screen. It's a darn shame that someone had to show DC what to do.
Star Wars WAS an origin story until Lucas created an origin for the origin and destroyed all magic and imagination.
There's a prior version of this trailer (two of them actually) with much more composited "footage" of the Superman/Doomsday battle, btw. (The second trailer is mostly about the funeral.)
All the more reason to abandon that idea altogether. People don't CRAVE back story, they want a good solid action movie, because let's face it...that's what comic book movies are: action films dolled up in fancy outfits and special powers. I didn't need a John McClain origin story, AND LOOK WHAT AN ORIGIN STORY DID TO STAR WARS!!! Come on, haven't we learned that it isn't always in our best interest to know how something got to where it is...did you need to know about Deckard's origin in Blade Runner? Was it a bad film because we don't know about everything they are talking about in the film? Look at what Prometheus had done...a quasi-origin story that pissed off everyone including Tyler Perry... If an origin story is something that adds to a film it can be added later...Indiana Jones waited until the 3rd movie for some back story...I think I've made my point.
" LOOK WHAT AN ORIGIN STORY DID TO STAR WARS" Star Wars was an origin story. Luke didn't start as a full-fledged Jedi knight.
Couldn’t agree with you more Orta4711; there isn’t anything classy in lack of imagination. Although, I give props to you Bricken; I would watch a film with awesome CGI staring Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. Who here did not own a pair of Underoos and makeup their own version of the best comic film of all time? I still have a hard time seeing anyone else as Wonder Woman other Linda Carter. Traveling on a regular basis on business for Dish has given me a perfect opportunity to catch up on all the Marvel and WB movies I’ve missed. Honestly, I watch most of my movies during after-hours anyway thanks to my decision to subscribe to Blockbuster @Home. I’m anxious to see Christian Bale take the screen again, who doesn’t have time to watch him in his Batman costume.
The creator said it best... "Check your disbelief at the door and just enjoy it" Even if you don't like these types of fan made mash up videos, there's absolutely no reason why we can't use our imagination to envision what a movie like this would be. I just think that the creator is showing us what he sees in his imagination, and there's nothing wrong with that. This is awesome work
nah, i expect even more than that, i remember the comic and even reading that gave me more to think about, the chosen clips were poor and i am never gonna be a huge fan of bale as batman, he just doesn't seem right to me, neither has anyone else who has ever played him for that matter.
WB can make any DC film they want, yes but they also have to do as DC says as far as the characters go, unlike marvel who gave up the right to say anything when they sold their characters, dc agreed to one studio so long as they remained in control and i am sorry the there isn't a DC exec who knows how to handle the characters and wb hires the wrong directors which makes things worse. marvel at least picks fan boys, and while nolan has made a decent batman film, his batman would not last around super powered heroes and villains, he just ain't that smart, fast, agile, technologically savy or even a great detective, he relys on the police to point him in the right directions.
Wait, what? DC is OWNED by the movie company. They didn't "agree to one studio". Marvel is the one with a film arm, and owns the rights to everyone but Spidey, X-Men, and the Fantastic Four.
yes an origin is required given the number of origins and rewrites the characters have all gone through, it usually helps to define just which version you are watching! i'm sorry but DC have had almost 30 years to lay foundations and make the film, marvel did it in less than a third of that because they had a plan, now anything DC does will just be seen as them trying to get on the bandwagon, the very one Marvel is now driving!
Screw origin stories...if you need that then you're no more intelligent than the people at the studios who think a full movie origin story is always a necessity. These characters are so ingrained in culture now I don't think that there are many people who don't know them. We are 50-70 YEARS into some of these super heroes...do we really need origins considering that the comic companies change and rewrite this stuff all the time?
I'm not gonna lie. That was pretty damn cool. As a somewhat irregular comics follower I have no idea who Doomsday is except for some dude who can punch the crap out of Superman and who hasn't been in the past two dozen DC movies (like some villains I could name... Joker, Lex, Krypton evil dudes).
It was the explosive goo shooter from Dark Knight. In the absence of exploding batarang footage, it makes perfect sense.
I will watch Rhona Mitra in anything. Put her in the WW costume and I'll pull a PeeWee Herman in the theater.
Holy flarking schnitt-- why am I not watching this right now? Someone get me an improbability drive-- this is more awesome than anything I've seen since my first wet dream.
Rhona Mitra(sp) is a pretty good choice for Wonder Woman! I mean wow! For a 36 year old woman she rocks it! DC/WB, why you so stupid??
