Because at this point the best we can likely hope for is a crappy remake, John Carpenter has teamed up with Boom! Studios to deliver the Jack Burton sequel you’ve always wanted…in comic-book form. Picking up right where the movie left off, it’ll show you what happens when Jack finally discovers that “stowaway” on his rig…and the fallout at Wang’s wedding when the forces of darkness seek their revenge on Jack.
The series by Eric Powell and Brian Churilla, with input by Carpenter, will be ongoing, and issue 1, due out in June, will feature variant covers by Joe Quinones, Chris Weston, Terry Dodson and Emi Yonemura Brown. Give us your best shot, guys…we can take it.
